Hi Bruce!

I did say it was my opinion on Cold Fusion and I knew many would
disagree which is their opinion but I still think those efforts could
be better directed.

You did say IF it is was 'spontaneous heat generation' where I think
it is more a chemical effect that occurs in batteries, i.e. producing
primarily current but also heat except not to the degree of the cold
fusion cells.
The point being batteries get hot when current flows through them too.

Your whole argument hinges on the statement, IF it is
spontaneous....well, IF it is, then maybe there is something going on
here, but everything I've read shows nothing truly anomalous.

I pointed it out to Dr. Bockrus, Dr. Bob Bush, Gene Mallove, Hal Fox
and others back 3 or 4 years ago that 18th century researcher Gustave
LeBon had taken drops of distilled water used to rinse a flask which
had contained mercury, poured a couple of drops of this water on
aluminum and recorded phenomenal 'spontaneous' generation of
heat...they were surprised as they'd not heard of this early 'cold
fusion' experiment..<g>...but it is so, written up in his own hand in
a book I think was called 'the Spirit of Matter' sold by Borderlands
at http://www.borderlands.org for about $40...well worth the investment.

I think people in general, seeing the immense sway of opinion towards
a given claim, technology or belief system are often fearful of
becoming a pariah for stating their opinions publicly, particularly if
they conflict with the going thoughts (known as orthodoxy..<g>..).

I'm just basing my opinion of it on all that I've read on cold
fusion...it's a battery....like the shirt says, the boat sank, get
over it...<g>....maybe something will come of it but I'll put my
efforts elsewhere...thanks for the comments!
