The war in Libya in perspective

In a UN-report from 2010 Libya is described as the best country in all of Africa for people to live in. The statement may very well be true for the whole of the Arab world as well.

Qaddafi is the founding father of the African Union – a process which was started by Qaddafi in the city of Sirte, was was levelled by a sustained bombing-campaign by NATO.

In January 2011 a number of countries applauded among them Sweden how fantastic Libya was:

on RT Nov 10, 2011

  • Free electricity for all
  • Free healthcare for all – even abroad
  • Free education abroad – even abroad
  • Interests on loans illegal
  • Gas 0.05 EUR per litre
  • Insurances – free
  • Want a new car? The government pays half of it
  • Just married and looking for a house – the government throws in 40,000 EUR
  • Want to become a farmer? The government pays the land, equipment, buildings, cattle and seed

Apparently, it was not any perceived lack of necessities that persuaded Sweden’s Reinfeldt-Bildt regime to join NATO’s looting campaign to Libya.

Former NATO Commander Wesley Clarke testifies that the war against Libya was planned over ten years ago:

Already in 2001 Pentagon was given the mission by the White House to start planning for a war against Libya – with no reason given for it.

1.6 million inhabitans of Tripoli demonstrates their support for the Qaddafi government on July 1, 2011. The number corresponds to 95% of all Tripoli residents and a quarter of the population of all of Libya.

Three weeks later NATO attacked.

The war and regime-change seems to have been driven by two main motives:

  1. Assimilation of Libya into the financial control system of the “Western Democracies” – through which private and secretive bank families in London and New York control the direction of humanity.
  2. Oil

Under Qaddafi, Libya has invested heavily on civilian infrastructure as well ensuring that the country had substantial gold reserves to backup their national currency and, most perhaps importantly, hade been able to stay out of the clutches of the IMF.

Libya under Qaddafi was debt-free.

The first measure taken by the CIA/MI6-controled Al-Qaeda jihadists did, already before the war started, was to create a new central bank and a new oil company. This may have been a “first” in world history where a reportedly oppressed and freedom starved people had these as their top priorities.

That regime-change was the real, albeit hidden, purpose with the wat effort is confirmed by Minister for Foreign Affair Carl Bildt in his personal blogg entry of March 21, 2011 – a week before he wrote the bill that took Sweden to war:

“..we agreed that the most important and difficult would be the political effort to try to build a functioning Libya after Qaddafi [was gone].”*

Former economic hitman John Perkins on how the American Empire subjugates countries without shooting wars:

Dr. Webster Tarpley on how crises are artificially created and used to promote police states at home, and colonial wars of aggressions abroad:

Dr. Michael Parenti gives the big picture, as seen from the left, in his 2002 lecture “Terrorism, Globalism and Conspiracy”:

None of the wars started after 9/11 is something that “just happened”.

They are the result of detailed long-term planning by anglo-american financial oligarchs with a view to transform Earth into a giant concentration camp – where those parts of humanity that survives the planned global genocide have been reduced in status to how most humans today view cattle.

The government, parliament and armed forces reported for war crimes in Libya

On November 4, 2011, 284 individuals inside the government were reported for crimes against humanity to the International Prosecution Chamber in Stockholm.

On November 21, 2011 the prosecution dismissed the report with the rationale:

“The reported events do not constitute a crime.”

On December 9, 2011 the decision was appealed.
