Text: "The driving mechanism of plate tectonics." The probable energy source causing plate tectonics in the earth is heat production due to radioactive decay of uranium, thorium and potassium. Alternative energy sources are differentiation processes in the core and mantle and solid earth tides. In the scalar view, differentiation processes also include heat and particulate energy production by scalar interferometry and dephasing of zero-vector (scalar) electromagnetic radiation from the sun. Turcotte's assumption, and previous assumptions, address only classical EM concepts, and not Bohm-Aharonov effects nor the quantum mechanical view of electromagnetics.
