Text: "Long Valley quakes taper off." Swarm of small earthquakes in the Long Valley region of eastern California near the town of Mammoth Lakes died down from a maximum of nearly 1000 per day to about 30 per day, the United States Geological Survey in Menlo Park, California reports. Data may possibly be contaminated by artificial scalar interferometry effects. Science News. 123(10), Mar. 5, 1983. p. 157.
