Text: A typical bandpass filter which is automatically swept (tuned) through a frequency range of interest. An instrument which incorporates this type of filter can be used to generate a vibration frequency spectrum as long as the frequency content of the measured signal remains constant throughout the time required to sweep through the frequency range.
