Text: S-5 SILANE WATER REPELLENT PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Specco S-5 Silane is formulated as a twenty percent and forty percent solids solution. S-5 formulations are ready to use, penetrating, colorless, non-yellowing, and breathable concrete and masonry water repellent compounds. Once applied, S-5 chemically reacts with the substrate forming long life water repellent groups that hydrolyze to an alkali resistant polysiloxane compound. Surfaces treated with S-5 are protected against the damaging effects of water intrusion, de-icing chemicals, freeze-thaw exposure, acid rain, airborne impurities and most other atmospheric chemicals without altering the appearance or texture of the treated substrate. S-5 20% is formulated to protect vertical above grade concrete and masonry surfaces. These include precast, tilt up and monolithic concrete, concrete block, stone and brick masonry. S-5 40% is formulated to protect horizontal concrete wearing surfaces.
