"Do, re, mi, fa, sol, la, si, do" are the first syllables of Latin words. Below are what each means: DO: short for DOminus, the lord, or maybe Ahum Bramhasmi, the self maker of the universe, Ishvara, Atman; RE: REgina Caeli, Queen of Heaven, the moon; MI: MIcrocosmos, the Earth or microcosm reflecting the whole universe; FA: FAtum, the fates, or in this case, specifically, all the planets; SO: or SOL, the sun; LA: Via LActea, the Milky Way galaxy; SI: SIderis, all the fixed stars that form the backdrop for the Milky Way. Some people sing :"TI" but it's not part of this tradition; DO: DOminus, the Lord again, but this time, God, Brahman, the Absolute, the Macrocosm, and the link back to the first Dominus.
