Text: "Earth rotation as a source of free energy." As the Foucault pendulum is, in principle, a perpetual motion machine, it is an indication that there is a possibility of extracting energy from a rotating platform, and the kinetic energy of the Earth. The Sagnac effect is an optical analog of the Foucault pendulum. The kinetic energy of the earth could be a renewable source of free energy at least equivalent to solar energy and nuclear energy.
