Text: "Some remarks on Faraday's law." The integral formulation of Faraday's law, as it is sometimes given, presents some difficulties. Suggestions are made for removing them. The explanation of the flux rule is not so simple. It seems to require two completely different laws: If the magnetic field changes with time, one has to make use of the Maxwell equations while, if the circuit moves, one has to resort to the Lorentz law of force. Actually there are two completely different kinds of induction. American Journal of Physics. 50(11), Nov. 1982. p. 974-975.
