Text: "Method and apparatus for producing high-frequency oscillating currents." Utilizes a horizontal long-wire antenna enclosed in a metal sheath, and insulated from it, in an assemblage buried beneath the earth's or water's surface or slightly above it, but parallel to the surface. The assemblage is sectionalized, reducing static and permitting a longer wire to be used. U. S. Patent no. 958,829. May 24, 1910.
