RELAX, QUADO
Text: Tuesday, August 3, 2004 (5:24 AM) Daily Quado: A reader asks: I'm feeling "stuck". I feel I've already completed a chapter of my life and am busy cutting the attachment strings to allow for the next, but it just isn't coming. What can I do to attract my future into my present? Quado, do you have an answer to this question? Ah, yes, of course, of course. Life does not flow predictably and it does not do what you might wish it to do. It does what it does, when it does it. It flows and changes, swirls and twirls, it circles back on itself at times and at other times it is a great rush forward. But still it flows as a continuum, and even when you have severed ties and attachments and you believe you have moved on, still little echoes of the past will continue. It is as if your life makes an imprint and that imprint stays even when you continue on in linear time. Still there are shadows of what has come before, impressions, which will continue to recur for quite some time. People you thought were lost to you completely will suddenly reappear and give you the opportunity, often taken, of making exactly the same mistakes again. Old careers suddenly return in a new guise, with the opportunity to now take that knowledge you had gathered and grown tired of applying and use it in a new way. Life has a way of flowing and being, of continuing and merging, of building and dropping off, and of doing all of this in its own way and at its own pace. There are times of apparently violent transition and there are times of very slow transition, where each day stretches out meeting the next with no apparent change. And it is only later that you realize that life was moving slowly, but yet it was moving, the way you glance at a flower and notice that it has opened, yet were unable to see the opening at the time that it was happening. All of this is life. And what you need to do is relax. Relax into it and let it be. You have done what you needed to do. You have held an idea of what you would like the future to hold and you have given it as a gift to the universe. You have followed your heart and your deep peaceful center and done what felt right. And now, you must simply live. Not impatiently, pulling up the carrots to see if they are growing, but patiently, joyfully and full of love. Embrace the day. Relax and let it flow. Do not be so anxious to toss out the old. There are parts of that old being, that old business, that old career, that are important to you. Why did you do it in the first place? Because it expressed some part of yourself. And now, let it take its time to depart and transform into the next thing which is coming your way. Relax. Perhaps you are in a nice long stretch of life in which it is important to just be, to surrender to what life will bring. This can be a wonderful place to be. When life is like this, just look upon each day as a long summers day, stretched out in glory and bright sunshine, but moving slowly. Embrace this. Awaken with gratitude. Fill your heart with thanks for the many blessings of your life and let life bring what it will bring as it wishes to bring it. Sometimes these are days of glorious discovery. Days in which you have the leisure to just let go all of your attempts to control, all of your trying and striving and working and controlling. Time to drift for a while on the gentle current which is life, knowing that soon enough it will bring something new. Another cure of being stuck is to give yourself this assignment: Every day, do something you have never done before. Even if it is completely outside what you are seeking. Especially if it is outside what you are seeking. It is possible that you are seeking in too narrow a range, that you have decided what you want and have not allowed the universe to deliver it to you in her own way. If your view is too rigid and narrow, you will be missing wonderful opportunities which may lead to things beyond your dreams, things marvelous and serendipitous, things you could not even imagine. And one way to reach these wonderful opportunities is to simply expose yourself to new things, to a lot of new things. New people who do things you never enjoyed doing. New places you never expected to visit. New ways to talk and walk and dress and be. New areas of study which you never thought you would study. Something to pull you out of your rigid framework of what you think life should be and out into the great wide world where things happen in their own way. It is always best to have your desires leave a lot of room for the universe to deliver in very odd and unexpected ways. Perhaps she is delivering right now, but it is behind you or off to the side. Perhaps wonderful opportunities are springing up around you, like grass sprouting from the ground, and all you can do is look for a particular oak tree you had in a dream. Perhaps that oak is sprouting even now, but it is growing deep in that grass or hidden behind that redwood. Open. Open and flow. Experiment and dare. Risk being what you have never even thought of being. Expose yourself to stimulation and change. Play. All of these are good cures for being stuck. And above all, relax. Relax and breathe and let be, let flow. You are not in control here. Do not even try. Note from Carrie: If you have not already, you really should go to http://www.carriehart.com/abundance_meditation.htm and hear samples of the new Quado Abundance Meditation. It will help you plant the seeds of your desires in an abundant, flowing universe. You never know what might sprout up next! The Abundance Meditation helps me to focus on what I do have (and what I can create) instead of what I dont have (or could possibly lose). I love the song at the end; it really is true: all you have to do is believe! Kendall Hall Copyright 2004 by Systematique, Inc.
