Text: "Aharonov-Bohm effect in perturbation theory." The Aharonov-Bohm effect occurs only when the initial state is a superposition of eigenstates of L, corresponding to eigenstates of opposite sign. This corresponds to the two paths separated by the magnetic flux, usually considered in discussions of the Aharonov-Bohm effect. Note that the two paths are macroscopic. Each magnetic flux may be separately observable. American Journal of Physics. 46(12), Dec. 1978. p. 1255-1256.
