MORPHIC RESONANCE
Text: "Morphic Resonance" was the term originally coined by biologist Rupert Sheldrake in his book "A New Science of Life" (1981)he states in "The Rebirth of Nature": ...."The hypothesis of formative causation suggests that self-organising systems at all levels of complexity, including molecules, crystals, cells, tissues, organisms and societies of organisms are organised by fields called morphic fields. Morphogenetic fields are just one type of morphic field, those concerned withthe development and maintenance of the bodies or organisms. Morphogenetic fields also organize the morphogenesis of molecules, for example shaping the way in which the string of amino acids coded for the genes fold up into the complex 3D structures of proteins....The way in which past haemoglobin molecules,or penicillin crystals, or giraffes influence the morphic fields of present ones depends on the process called "morphic resonance", the influence of like upon like through spce and time. Morphic resonance does not fall off with distance. It does not involve a transfer of energy, but of information. In effect this hypothosis enables the regularities of nature to be understood as governed by habits inherited by morphic resonance, rather than by eternal, non material and non energetic laws........."
