Text: The 13th Hebrew letter, Mem (M), means water. It is often called the 2nd of the 3 maternal letters of the Hebrew alphabet (Aleph, Mem, Shin). In its present form, which has been maintained from remote antiquity, it resembles a ripple on the surface of water. The astrological zigzag lines denoting Aquarius have the same origin and significance. Water is occultly significant of the intellectual plane of human existence and the name Moses (Moshe) literally means one who has been drawn up out of water, mystically lifted above the intellectual region to a plane of spiritual consciousness.
