MECHANICAL RUNOUT
Text: A source of error on the output of signal of a proximity probe transducer system; a probe gap change which does not result from either a shaft center position change or shaft dynamic motion. Common sources include out-of-round shafts, scratches, chain marks, dents, rust or other conductive buildup on the shaft, stencil marks, flat spots, and engravings.
