MAGNETIC MOTOR, JOHNSON

Text: Howard R. Johnson; Permanent Magnet Motor, U.S. Patent 4,151,431, Apr. 24, 1979. Johnson utilized a robotically controlled precision slide, an IBM computer, and an advanced electromagnetics software program to automatically measure and map the strength and flux density of magnetic fields of permanent magnets. These measurements are probably some of the most detailed field pattern measurements ever taken. He also utilized a method whereby the computer prepares a detailed graphical representation of the two-particle flow.
