LOUDNESS COMPENSATION

Text: Loudness compensation is a feature found in many amplifiers that compensates for the ear's loss of sensitivity to bass at low volumes. Music reproduced more softly than it would be heard in a concert hall sounds thin. Loudness compensation makes up for this by supplying more bass as the volume is turned down.
