Date: 21 Oct 1998 15:04:50 -0000 From: "Kaleb Clare" Reply-To: A Course in Miracles List To: A Course in Miracles List Is there a correlative within New Testament teachings to the concept = found within ACIM that appears to say, "The Child of God (Creation) was = created perfectly, and not only IS He perfect in His nature but (because = of that very fact) He cannot truly accomplish anything less than His = perfection? All He thought He did (in "sin" - the idea of separation in = any form) ... was never done." (Of course, it is only my present = understanding that this is, in part, what ACIM teaches, and I am willing = to be wrong.) It has been from this central concept (from my limited experience with = this most wonderful Course) that all else hinges. God does not forgive = ... because He, unlike I, never forgot the Truth of what He is (and what = I am through His creation of Me). He does not forgive because He never = judged His Creation as less than what He made It to begin with and sees = It as He made It still. The arrogance that the ego holds (my decision to see Myself as less than = what He made Me) truly is then a statement that I believe MY evaluation = of Myself is truer than God's - and in this single thought, perception = comes to replace true seeing ... I am no longer looking upon what God = made of Me but have closed my eyes and look only now upon the image I = have made of myself, believing it to be Real instead. =20 And the Father's response to this seeming impossible event is to infuse = within the very nature of His Creation from the moment He created It the = capacity to remember ... a "medium" through which it will once again = dawn upon the Holy Mind of the Child of God that He only "sleeps" and = dreams a nightmare of attack upon himself, and upon his Father who = created Him. =20 The nightmare is not Real ... except to the mind that believes it is. = The means to the undoing of this misuse of Will is the Holy Spirit whose = single function is to remember FOR the Child of God who He really is. = Forgiveness then becomes the instrument through which the Child of God = listens to the Holy Spirit, and gives to Him [the HS] His desire to see. = The Holy Spirit's "corrected vision" is the Answer He gives to the = Child of God in return, and once accepted becomes His salvation (the way = in which the Child of God will awaken fully to the truth of Who He is, = when God will take the last step and reach across the bridge of time to = welcome His Child Home again, where He never really left to begin with.
