Hydrogen

Text: The first chemical element, symbol H, in the periodic table, atomic number 1, atomic weight 1.00797; under ordinary conditions it is a colorless, odorless, tasteless gas composed of diatomic molecules, H2; used in manufacture of ammonia and methanol, for hydrofining, for desulfurization of petroleum products, and to reduce metallic oxide ores.
