Text: "Holographic detection of defects under the surface of solid objects." Shows that detection of stress defects in an interferometer fashion allows "seeing into" solid objects. Directly applicable to scalar interferometry and Tesla's "big eye" to see at a distance through the earth. Analysis of one class of satellite radar as an integrating double-exposure hologram might reveal why anomalous pictures of the ocean bottom are often obtained. American Journal of Physics. 51(11), Nov. 1983. p. 984-987.
