Text: Frequency response describes how evenly a component responds to notes of different pitch. Ideally, a component should increase the loudness of all tones, from the highest to the lowest, by exactly the same amount. A frequency response varying no more than +/- 3 db can be considered "flat" within the given frequency limits.
