DISDIAPASON

Text: 6/13/04, Arck Turuss Dale, a question if I can. Am trying to acquaint myself more, with aspects of harmony. Came across some of Fludds work, he talks about the "DISDIAPASON" BEING THE MUSICAL FIFTEENTH? Tried to do a comprehensive search on this, but had a bit of a hard time finding much of anything meaty on this. Basically what I want to know is what the heck ratio, the musical fifteenth looks like? If the 'fifth' = 2 / 3 fourth = 3 / 4 fifteenth = ? Here's some supposedly related info I was able to find, wondering your comments on these? ; DISDIAPASON; 1.) double octave, low g to c, then high g to c 2.) The Disdiapason has FOUR TETRACHORDS and one REDUNDANT NOTE (pardon my ignorance, but whats a tetrachord, and how could there be four of them here and why is there one redundant note anyway, and what IS this extra 'redundant' note? 3.) The Tetrachord of Mercury (no idea what the heck that means?) 4.) Alchemy; "Fire stone carried in the belly of air" - ??? 5.) Arithmetic; Root of a Cube. ( musically, how so?) 6.) Geometry; "Point - beginning of a continued running line" 7.) Astronomy; Center of the planets Saturn, Jupiter, Mars 8.) Greater Perfect System, Two conjunct Tetrachords (how would this be arrange?) Anyhow.... would appreciate any light you could shed on this.... mainly would like to know what the numeric ratio / interval of the fifteenth would be and any other comments you may share. Thanks Alt
