DESPAIR & DISCOURAGEMENT, CAYCE

Text: Will has influenced the entity much in this direction, and in the hours of greatest despair has come the light that is ever available when a body-entity allows the Divine - of which the soul is the spark, or portion - to enter in and make His abode there. Cayce (115-1) (Q) Is my health being affected by aggravation resulting from business association with my family, and would it be advisable to make a change? (A) In part, as has been given! This comes from those - but itıs more of a physical, else - those relationships with the family could be, and would be, made as stepping-stones for better things, rather than being allowed to overcome and subdue the abilities! Cayce (279-1) (Q) Is the ill health which I have been experiencing the past years the result of mistakes of a past life or is it due to something amiss in this present life? (A) Both. For there is the law of the material, there is the law of the mental, there is the law of the spiritual. That brought into materiality is first conceived in spirit. Hence as we have indicated, all illness is sin; not necessarily of the moment, as man counts time, but as a part of the whole experience. For God has not purposed or willed that any soul should perish, but purgeth everyone by illness, by prosperity, by hardships, by those things needed, in order to meet self - but in Him, by faith and works, are ye made every whit whole. Cayce (3395-2) Do not confuse self, do not overstep self, but as hath been said, "When ye call I will hear - and answer speedily." This applies to thee - yea, to each soul, to be sure; but make it thine own cry, with the willingness in self to be led, to be guided, to be directed, by that as He hath given, "Ask in my name and ye - believing - shall have." Can there be a greater promise? Oft ye, as so many, feel - or act - as if this meant someone else. Is not thy soul as precious in His sight as though ye had taken a city, yea as though ye had directed a nation? . . . In such meditation, then - in such may the self awaken to that strength of purpose, that determination to carry on! Though the world forsake thee, if thy Lord is upon thy side, ye stand even as Eleazar before the hosts of the Lord. [Num. 3:32] Cayce (165-26)
