Text: CREAM OF TARTAR According to the 1881 Arkansas City Weekly Traveler newspaper, here is a recipe for small pox treatment and prevention: One ounce of cream of tartar dissolved in a pint of boiling water. Drink when cold at short intervals. It can be taken at any time, and is a sure preventative as well as a curative. It is known to have cured thousands of cases without failure. It never leaves a mark, never causes blindness and always prevents tedious lingering. The physician says worst case of smallpox can be cured by this simple remedy in three days. NOTE: Only use cream of tartar purchased in a reputable health food store that is not irradiated!
