CINNAMON
Text: Since cholesterol is one thing we need to keep control of, I wanted to share with you, my alternative find. I've read about the benefit of using cinnamon to help control cholesterol and blood sugar. My cholesterol lab results have been elevated since 1996. The results ranged from 155 to 271. The "bad" cholesterol LDL ranged from 155 to 174. The lower results were results of medication........adding medication, changing doses. In Oct. even though I was on 2 statin drugs, my cholesterol was 203 and the LDL was 142. The doctor wrote a prescription for a 3rd statin. I decided to try something else. So I stayed on the 2 statins and take 1/4 tsp of cinnamon every day. I put it in a cup of coffee that I have in the morning. You could sprinkle it on applesauce, cottage cheese or toast, what ever you'd want. According to my reading, there is a cinnamon toxicity, but nowhere does it say what the amount is. However, I've read amounts of 1/4 tsp twice a day to 1/2 tsp daily is the recommended dose. So I feel very safe with 1/4 tsp, in fact I really use less than that. I took cinnamon every day for 6 weeks and then had blood work done. I was hoping for and improvement, but didn't really know if it would work. After all, it was too easy.........loved that cinnamon coffee, and no adverse side effects. Well, the results were unbelievable. My cholesterol is 128 and LDL 81. I don't know when the results were this good. We all need to keep our cholesterol levels as normal as possible. So I'm writing to let you know after reading several articles on cinnamon I decided to try it, and will continue on it. I used Google.............cinnamon usage for cholesterol................please read some of the articles. I hope you will find them informative, useful and decide to try.
