If you are acquainted with this book you will know he discusses the Major scale rising being twinned with the Minor scale falling. Both these scales meet at the note D, one being the bottom of the Minor and one being the top of the Major. However there is a small discrepency in the numbers. The D for the Major is 27 and the D for the Minor is 26.666. When I read this I was quite excited because it confirms my results regarding the note D. I knew that when one mirrored the D Dorian it was a perfectly symmetrical Mode, and I also saw it as being a partner to the Bb on the other side of the Mirror: C Db Eb F G Ab Bb C D E F G A B C The note D on the right of the C axis is at the Dorian position, as is the Bb on the right of the C axis. Bb is Dorian within the scale of Ab Major. It too is a perfectly symmetrical mode. Having read Ramsey's view that at the missing .333 of two D's is the centre of the music system I wondered how that could tie in with my experiments. Well it does and it is found by doubling the .333 and re-doubling the total until it becomes a recognizable note. At 42.666 one coincides with a frequency that Ramsey includes in one of his tables. It is for the note Bb. So for me there is the connection and the gateway to the other side of the duality. Ramsey started his system with F representing the frequency 1, not C. This is because F is the subdominant in C Major and therefore the first frequency of the 12 key structure. F A C, C E G, G B D This places E as the nuetral note and together with Bb we have the representation of the most prolific interval within the music structure, that of the flat5, despised by the churches but rich in secrets. Bb then is the secret frequency residing between the Major/Minor music system. As a harmonic of C (fundamental) it is one of those that is hard to find. It isn't quite the seventh harmonic and one of its reasons in my eyes is this peculiar quality it shares as the Dorian partner of the note D, which is also Dorian. Anyway, if any of you are interested in more of this type of thing why not write to me? I would rather discuss things with people in the Now than wait and hope that some book appears on a library shelf. Bye for Now Luigi
