Text: Integrating Right and Left Brain Hemispheres B: Yes. Q: I haveŠ for a month now my right shoulder, my right arm, has just been hurting so tremendously that I can hardly lift anything up. And I'm going through a lot of physical things lately. AndŠ B: What do you do with your right arm? Q: I work. What I've been trying to do is to do more with my left arm and my left side, as opposed to my rightŠ B: Why? Q: Because I felt that maybe I was doing too much... too right-sided or something. And besides it hurt so much I couldn't do anything, so I had to work with my... or do everything with my left. B: All right. Can you simply imagine -- can it be sufficient reason for you that you may have chosen the idea to incapacitate your right side so that you could learn to use the other side, to integrate the hemispheres of your brain? Q: That had crossed my mind. B: But understand that if you know that that is the reason, if you can allow yourself to feel that that may be valid, then you know you do not necessarily have to create it in such an unconscious fashion, and you do not need the pain in order to simply allow yourself to know that you will continue to integrate. Do you follow me? Q: Yes, I do. I follow you. I wanted validation on the cause. B: Put both of your hands up in the air. (Does so) Now, as you do this, feel both hemispheres of your brain. Feel the left hemisphere connected to the right hand, and the right hemisphere connected to the left. Feel the analytical "you" that you may feel tired of, controlling the right hand. And the creative "you" that you may wish more experience with, controlling the left. But allow the left and the right to both be equally valid in the functions they have performed -- you may relax. Allow both sides to be valid equally in the functions they perform. And allow the symbol you have given yourself to be a valid symbol. Do not judge it; do not try to get rid of it. In trying to get rid of it, you reinforce it. Allow it to be valid in the way you have created it, for it has served the purpose of reminding you that you want to integrate and balance both sides of yourself. Now that you can know! that that is what you gave yourself the symbol for, it has served its purpose. It has delivered its message to your consciousness, and you can let it dissolve into something else, knowing that you will continue to balance yourself -- and you do not need to nag yourself to remind yourself that you will continue to do so. You do not need to drive yourself to make the integration; you do not need to whip yourself to move forward. You do not need to pull yourself, aaagonizingly straaaaining yourself; you may simply flow. Do you follow me? Q: Yes. Also my body feels like it's been hit by a Mack truck this last month. It's very sore and it's very tired, and it feels like it could sleep for five years straight. B: Go right ahead. Q: Why is that? What is theŠ? B: Understand that you are, as is your nature, giving yourself a crash course in acceleration. You are impacting yourself very rapidly to the new idea of yourself; and so you are creating many ideas of friction between the idea of an old you and a new you with such rapidity that you are basically beating yourself up. How do your ribs feel? Under your arms. Q: They feel fine. I've had muscular pains up my chest and my back. A lot of constriction. B: Yes. Can you take -- slowly, slowly -- three deep, gentle and loving breaths, in and out? As you do so, close your eyes and float, and describe -- whether it is a physiological sensation or not -- describe in your imagination what you feel as a sensation in any portion of your chest area as you do so. Q: I feel a tingling. B: Any temperature change? Q: Yes. It's mint. B: Very good; it is cool, yes. Q: AndŠ B: Can you allow this idea, this sensation, to extend itself into all your extremities? Q: Uh huh. B: Can you then feel the air rushing through you?... can you feel that? Q: Yes. B: Can you allow this feeling of atmosphere, of coolness, of mint, to exude from your pores and feel your auric field, so that you breathe the atmosphere in, creating a cycle? Q: Yes. B: Take your right hand and follow what I do. (Long pause; unfortunately this was the days before video sessions.... Trans.) B: Now relax. And tonight of your time, as you sleep, know that you are talking to yourself. And you are talking yourself -- from your higher consciousness to your physical consciousness -- into a state of relaxation. And when you arise the idea of the symbol of yourself will be more and more, with every breath of your auric field, more assimilated, more centered and more present. Understand that when you reach for things in the future, you are always going to strain yourself, because the future is not something you have to reach for. You will be reaching for infinity. It is all within you; it is all right in the present. Do not strain your reach, because you already know that your reach, as All That Is, already contains everything that you need. Do you follow me?
