Allais, Maurice F. C.

Text: "Should the laws of gravitation be reconsidered? Part 2. Experiments in connection with the abnormalities noted in the motion of the paraconical pendulum with an anisotropic support." The article describes experiments with the paraconical pendulum, relating them to phenomena observed in mechanics, optics, and electromagnetism. Conclusion: Explainable 'only by the existence of a new field.' Also details abnormalities in mechanics, some optical and electromagnetic phenomena, tidal phenomena, liquid rotations, suspended pulleys, and earth's gravitational field. See especially footnote 18, p. 54-55 which summarizes some major, unexplained tidal phenomena. Aero/Space Engineering. 18(10), Oct. 1959. p. 51-55.
