B: It is a part of the dispersion shell that allows there to be the channeling of the stepped up light energy and the creation of the field around and about the ship. It is, in a sense, what is used as the lens. Now this is why, you understand, that the majority of spacecraft that you encounter are disk form, and it is the hull that is made of this magnesium. For it is that whole lens shape that allows there to be the dispersion of the energy round and about the craft in a lens-like manner so that the field is stable.

Q: What level of energy is actually required today to activate the shell?

B: In the idea of microwave energy 10 to the 14th power. This does not mean you cannot achieve to some degree this effect on a smaller scale, but this is the average of the expression being channeled through the majority of scout craft.

B: The terminology is not within the physiological channel's memory. Allow me to express it this way: What you perceive to be an output, what you call your highest setting in your microwave device, your oven... yes?

You can simply allow yourself to experiment with the idea of the rotational masses, as we have described them. Or any idea of the creation of crystalline matrices, as we have discussed them for now. And the exploration of the latent etheric energy in the substance you call gold, along with your magnesium and crystalline forms. Simply explore along these avenues -- and quasi-crystalline plastic metals.

See how they absorb and contain different kinds of electromagnetic energy, and when stimulated in certain ways, perhaps by light, perhaps by electricity, can release that energy from their crystalline structures, altering their crystalline structures back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, to become matter-energy, matter-energy, matter-energy. And exist continually in a quasi-material plasma state, so to speak. But it is not hot, as you would understand it. It is cold. It is cold fusion, but not fusion, as you understand it. It is the fusion of templates, of matrixes.

Q: Could you explain a template?

B: A form upon which something else takes its shape. The idea of the underlying energy pattern that gives substance and shape to your three-dimensional universe. The interaction and intersection of ninety degree out-of-phase portions of the template will allow there to be a quasi-planar existence to an object, at the focal point in which it does not have to exist in one particular reality or another - - and can slip through all realities. THOUGHTS ON RAY-VIBRATIONS (1)

Dear Sir,

At your request I will endeavor to convey to you a notion of that which I ventured to say at the close of the last Friday-evening Meeting, incidental to the account I gave of Wheatstone's electro-magnetic chronoscope; but from first to last understand that I merely threw out as matter for speculation, the vague impressions of my mind, for I gave nothing as the result of sufficient consideration, or as the settled conviction, or even probable conclusion at which I had arrived.

The point intended to be set forth for consideration of the hearers was, whether it was not possible that vibrations which in a certain theory are assumed to account for radiation and radiant phaenomena may not occur in the lines of force which connect particles, and consequently masses of matter together; a notion which as far as is admitted, will dispense with the aether, which in another view, is supposed to be the medium in which these vibrations take place.

You are aware of the speculation (2) which I some time since uttered respecting that view of the nature of matter which considers its ultimate atoms as centres of force, and not as so many little bodies surrounded by forces, the bodies being considered in the abstract as independent of the forces and capable of existing without them. In the latter view, these little particles have a definite form and a certain limited size; in the former view such is not the case, for that which represents size may be considered as extending to any distance to which the lines of force of the particle extend: the particle indeed is supposed to exist only by these forces, and where they are it is. The consideration of matter under this view gradually led me to look at the lines of force as being perhaps the seat of vibrations of radiant phenomena.

Another consideration bearing conjointly on the hypothetical view both of matter and radiation, arises from the comparison of the velocities with which the radiant action and certain powers of matter are transmitted. The velocity of light through space is about 190,000 miles in a second; the velocity of electricity is, by the experiments of Wheatstone, shown to be as great as this, if not greater: the light is supposed to be transmitted by vibrations through an aether which is, so to speak, destitute of gravitation, but infinite in elasticity; the electricity is transmitted through a small metallic wire, and is often viewed as transmitted by vibrations also. That the electric transference depends on the forces or powers of the matter of the wire can hardly be doubted, when we consider the different conductibility of the various metallic and other bodies; the means of affecting it by heat or cold; the way in which conducting bodies by combination enter into the constitution of non-conducting substances, and the contrary; and the actual existence of one elementary body, carbon, both in the conducting and non-conducting state. The power of electric conduction (being a transmission of force equal in velocity to that of light) appears to be tied up in and dependent upon the properties of the matter, and is, as it were, existent in them.

I suppose we may compare together the matter of the aether and ordinary matter (as, for instance, the copper of the wire through which the electricity is conducted), and consider them as alike in their essential constitution; i.e. either as both composed of little nuclei, considered in the abstract as matter, and of force or power associated with these nuclei, or else both consisting of mere centres of force, according to Boscovich's theory and the view put forth in my speculation; for there is no reason to assume that the nuclei are more requisite in the one case than in the other. It is true that the copper gravitates and the aether does not, and that therefore the copper is ponderable and the aether is not; but that cannot indicate the presence of nuclei in the copper more than in the aether, for of all the powers of matter gravitation is the one in which the force extends to the greatest possible distance from the supposed nucleus, being infinite in relation to the size of the latter, and reducing the nucleus to a mere centre of force. The smallest atom of matter on the earth acts directly on the smallest atom of matter in the sun, though they are 95,000,000 miles apart; further, atoms which, to our knowledge, are at least nineteen times that distance, and indeed in cometary masses, far more, are in a similar way tied together by the lines of force extending from and belonging to each. What is there in the condition of the particles of the supposed aether, if there be even only one such particle between us and the sun, that can in subtility and extent compare to this?

Let us not be confused by the ponderability and gravitation of heavy matter, as if they proved the presence of the abstract nuclei; these are due not to the nuclei, but to the force super-added to them, if the nuclei exist at all; and, if the aether particles be without this force, which according to the assumption is the case, then they are more material, in the abstract sense, than the matter of this our globe; for matter, according to the assumption, being made up of nuclei and force, the aether particles have in this respect proportionately more of the nucleus and less of the force.

On the other hand, the infinite elasticity assumed as belonging to the particles of the aether, is as striking and positive a force of it as gravity is of ponderable particles, and produces in its way effects as great; in witness whereof we have all the varieties of radiant agency as exhibited in luminous, caloric, and actinic phaenomena.

Perhaps I am in error in thinking the idea generally formed of the aether is that its nuclei are almost infinitely small, and that such force as it has, namely its elasticity, is almost infinitely intense. But if such be the received notion, what then is left in the aether but force or centres of force? As gravitation and solidity do not belong to it, perhaps many may admit this conclusion; but what are gravitation and solidity? certainly not the weight and contact of the abstract nuclei. The one is the consequence of an attractive force, which can act at distances as great as the mind of man can estimate or conceive; and the other is the consequence of a repulsive force, which forbids for ever the contact or touch of any two nuclei; so that these powers or properties should not in any degree lead those persons who conceive of the aether as a thing consisting of force only, to think any otherwise of ponderable matter, except that it has more and other forces associated with it than the aether has.

In experimental philosophy we can, by the phaenomena presented, recognize various kinds of lines of force; thus there are the lines of gravitating force, those of electro-static induction, those of magnetic action, and others partaking of a dynamic character might be perhaps included. The lines of electric and magnetic action are by many considered as exerted through space like the lines of gravitating force. For my own part, I incline to believe that when there are intervening particles of matter (being themselves only centres of force), they take part in carrying on the force through the line, but that when there are none, the line proceeds through space. Whatever the view adopted respecting them may be, we can, at all events, affect these lines of force in a manner which may be conceived as partaking of the nature of a shake or lateral vibration. For suppose two bodies, A B, distant from each other and under mutual action, and therefore connected by lines of force, and let us fix our attention upon one resultant of force, having an invariable direction as regards space; if one of the bodies move in the least degree right or left, or if its power be shifted for a moment within the mass (neither of these cases being difficult to realise if A and B be either electric or magnetic bodies), then an effect equivalent to a lateral disturbance will take place in the resultant upon which we are fixing our attention; for, either it will increase in force whilst the neighboring results are diminishing, or it will fall in force as they are increasing.

It may be asked, what lines of force are there in nature which are fitted to convey such an action and supply for the vibrating theory the place of the aether? I do not pretend to answer this question with any confidence; all I can say is, that I do not perceive in any part of space, whether (to use the common phrase) vacant or filled with matter, anything but forces and the lines in which they are exerted. The lines of weight or gravitating force are, certainly, extensive enough to answer in this respect any demand made upon them by radiant phaenomena; and so, probably, are the lines of magnetic force: and then who can forget that Mossotti has shown that gravitation, aggregation, electric force, and electro-chemical action may all have one common connection or origin; and so, in their actions at a distance, may have in common that infinite scope which some of these actions are known to possess?

The view which I am so bold to put forth considers, therefore, radiation as a kind of species of vibration in the lines of force which are known to connect particles and also masses of matter together. It endeavors to dismiss the aether, but not the vibration. The kind of vibration which, I believe, can alone account for the wonderful, varied, and beautiful phaenomena of polarization, is not the same as that which occurs on the surface of disturbed water, or the waves of sound in gases or liquids, for the vibrations in these cases are direct, or to and from the centre of action, whereas the former are lateral. It seems to me, that the resultant of two or more lines of force is in an apt condition for that action which may be considered as equivalent to a lateral vibration; whereas a uniform medium, like the aether, does not appear apt, or more apt than air or water.

The occurrence of a change at one end of a line of force easily suggests a consequent change at the other. The propagation of light, and therefore probably of all radiant action, occupies time; and, that a vibration of the line of force should account for the phaenomena of radiation, it is necessary that such vibration should occupy time also. I am not aware whether there are any data by which it has been, or could be ascertained whether such a power as gravitation acts without occupying time, or whether lines of force being already in existence, such a lateral disturbance at one end as I have suggested above, would require time, or must of necessity be felt instantly at the other end.

As to that condition of the lines of force which represents the assumed high elasticity of the aether, it cannot in this respect be deficient: the question here seems rather to be, whether the lines are sluggish enough in their action to render them equivalent to the aether in respect of the time known experimentally to be occupied in the transmission of radiant force.

The aether is assumed as pervading all bodies as well as space: in the view now set forth, it is the forces of the atomic centres which pervade (and make) all bodies, and also penetrate all space. As regards space, the difference is, that the aether presents successive parts of centres of action, and the present supposition only lines of action; as regards matter, the difference is, that the aether lies between the particles and so carries on the vibrations, whilst as respects the supposition, it is by the lines of force between the centres of the particles that the vibration is continued. As to the difference in intensity of action within matter under the two views, I suppose it will be very difficult to draw any conclusion, for when we take the simplest state of common matter and that which most nearly causes it to approximate to the condition of the aether, namely the state of the rare gas, how soon do we find in its elasticity and the mutual repulsion of its particles, a departure from the law, that the action is inversely as the square of the distance!

And now, my dear Phillips, I must conclude. I do not think I should have allowed these notions to have escaped from me, had I not been led unawares, and without previous consideration, by the circumstances of the evening on which I had to appear suddenly and occupy the place of another. Now that I have put them on paper, I feel that I ought to have kept them much longer for study, consideration, and, perhaps final rejection; and it is only because they are sure to go abroad in one way or another, in consequence of their utterance on that evening, that I give shape, if shape it may be called, in this reply to your inquiry. One thing is certain, that any hypothetical view of radiation which is likely to be received or retained as satisfactory, must not much longer comprehend alone certain phaenomena of light, but must include those of heat and of actinic influence also, and even the conjoined phaenomena of sensible heat and chemical power produced by them. In this respect, a view, which is in some degree founded upon the ordinary forces of matter, may perhaps find a little consideration amongst the other views that will probably arise. I think it likely that I have made many mistakes in the preceeding pages, for even to myself, my ideas on this point appear only as the shadow of a speculation, or as one of those impressions on the mind which are allowable for a time as guides to thought and research. He who labours in experimental inquiries knows how numerous these are, and how often their apparent fitness and beauty vanish before the progress and development of real natural truth.

I think, however, that we may learn several things as to the conditions that the elements of ether should fulfill if they are to represent Maxwell's equations by motions in ways analogous to those of my model." Although Professor Stokes seems to think that there is no contradiction in supposing the ether to be a jelly, and at the same time sufficiently little rigid to permit the free motion of matter through it, nevertheless, there is no doubt that this is a serious stumbling-block in the way of a general acceptance of the hypothesis that the ether is, in all respects, like a thin jelly, and I hardly think the difficulty diminished when its strains, as a rigid body, are required to be capable of producing permanent electrical forces." The most general supposition of this kind would be, that it was what Sir William Thomson has called a vortex-sponge, i.e., everywhere endowed with vortex motion, but with this motion so mixed up as to have within any sensible volume an equal amount of vortex motion in all directions. There are many ways in which this supposition seems to be in accordance with what we know of the properties of the ether." Fitzgerald

Fox

The primary component of practically taping the aether is matching it's angular momentum at lesser powers of 10 velocity. This may be possible at a science fiction level in the near future. Mathematics incessantly put this angular momentum basis at 91.66.. rps, equaling 5500 rpm. A Russian magnetic levitation demonstration yielded a 65% weight reduction at 550 rpm as well as other dramatic hints of space-time warp. A mildly successful finish test was at 5000 rpm. This spin can only be understood in he context of another discovery. Physicist Saulo Carneiro determined that the past rotating universe would give objects a spin of their mass to the 1.7 power - close to the observed value. Thus the evolving spin basis becomes 91.66..rps since quantum calibrations are in seconds and synchronized by Carneiro's spin. The second component is the efficient use of space-time geometry. A minimum of 2 dimensions is required to give form to anything. A circle is essentially 2 dimensional symmetry. Two spinning discs at 91.66.. rps models the 4 basic dimensions. The third component is orienting the 2 rotating discs to each other in a way that synchronizes with space-time. Mathematical modeling yields a 54.277o angle between them for the greatest performance return. These concepts should be relatively easy to test. Adding magnets to the discs would likely improve the net results. Measuring an induced current in an electric coil would be one way of measuring the power output.

[It is interesting to note that 54.00 deg. is the angle whose sine is phi/2, phi being the golden ratio [(1+SQRT(5))/2], and 54 deg. is also the basis of the pentagram, where in CA Masonry, the pentagram is used in a symbol with the phrase "In this sign you shall conquer," as also seen on US planes in WW II - PB.]

Gernsback

(Ether) Term sometimes applied to electromagnetic or radio waves on account of the assumption that they travel through the supposed medium of ether. The assumption of an all pervading medium such as ether has been the basis of the major part of the extensive research work carried on with light and electromagnetic waves for many years. Various experiments have shown beyond reasonable doubt that there is some such medium, capable of conducting or rather permitting passage of light waves and radio waves. So accurate has this work been that it has been proven beyond question that light waves travel through the ether with the tremendous velocity of 186,000 miles per second (approximately). It has also been determined that radio waves travel at this same speed through the ether. It has further been proven that radio waves all travel at the same identical velocity, regardless of their length, form and other factors. [Radio Encyclopedia; Sidney Gernsback, 1927]

Haeckel

Eight theses on ether by Ernst Haeckel:

I. Ether fills the whole space, in so far as it is not occupied by ponderable matter, as a continuous substance; it fully occupies the space between the atoms of ponderable matter.

II. Ether has probably no chemical quality, and is not composed of atoms. If it be supposed that it consists of minute homogeneous atoms (for instance, indivisible etheric particles of a uniform size), it must be further supposed that there is something else between these atoms, either "empty space" or a third, completely unknown medium, a purely hypothetical "inter-ether"; the question as to the nature of this brings us back to the original difficulty, and so on in infinitum.

III. As the idea of an empty space and an action at a distance is scarcely possible in the present condition of our knowledge (at least, it does not help to clear a monistic view), I postulate for ether a special structure which is not atomistic, like that of ponderable matter, and which may provisionally be called (without further determination) etheric or dynamic structure.

IV. The consistency of ether is also peculiar, on our hypothesis, and different from that of ponderable matter. It is neither gaseous, as some conceive, nor solid, as others suppose; the best idea of it can be formed by comparison with an extremely attenuated, elastic, and light jelly.

V. Ether may be called imponderable matter in the sense that we have no means of determining its weight experimentally. If it really has weight, as is very probable, it must be so slight as to be far below the capacity of our most delicate balance. Some physicists have attempted to determine its weight by the energy of the light-waves, and have discvered that it is some fifteen trillion times lighter thanatmospheric air; on that hypothesis a sphere of ether of the size of our earth would weigh at least two hundred and fifty pounds.

VI. The etheric consistency may probably (in accordance with the pyknotic theory) pass into the gaseous state under certain conditions by progressive condensation, just as a gas may be converted into a fluid, and ultimately into a solid, by lowering its temperature.

VII. Consequently, these three conditions of matter may be arranged (and it is a point of great importance in our monistic cosmogony) in a genetic, continuous order. We may distinguish five stages in it: (1) the etheric, (2) the gaseous, (3) the fluid, (4) the viscous (in the living protoplasm), and (5) the solid state.

VIII. Ether is boundless and immeasurable, like the space it occupies. It is in eternal motion; and this specific movement of ether (it is immaterial whether we conceive it as vibration, strain, condensation, etc.), in reciprocal action with mass-movement (or gravitation), is the ultimate cause of all phenomena. "Only if the ponderable particles contain charges of true electricity can the periodic alternations of the electric moments in the ether educe ponderomotive forces of the same period. The analogous assumption, that embedded atoms contain isolated northern or southern magnetism, I pass over as too improbable. On the other hand, the electrolytic phenomena, especially Faraday's law of electrolytic equivalents, have long since led to the assumption that electric charges of determinate magnitude attach to the valence positions of chemically bound ions - charges that can be now positive, now negative, but which must be everywhere, for every valence position of every atom, have the same absolute magnitude." Hertz

Hertz in his conjectures that a knowledge of the structure of ether should unveil the essence of matter itself, and of its inherent properties, weight and inertia, is treading the path that leads to this knowledge. Professor Fitzgerald says:- "Ether must be the means by which electric and magnetic forces exist, it should explain chemical actions, and if possible gravity." The law of sympathetic vibration explain chemical affinities a sympathetic attractive, but inherent, force; in short, as gravity. This open up too wide a territory even but to peer into in the dawning light of Keely's system of vibratory physics. The boundary line is crossed, and the crowds of researchers in electromagnetism are full of ardor. Hertz constructed a circuit, whose period of vibration for electric currents was such that he was able to see sparks, due to the increased vibration, leaping across a small airspace in this resonant circuit; his experiments have proved and demonstrated the ethereal theory of electromagnetism: -that electromagnetic actions are due to a medium pervading all known space; while Keely's experiments have proved that all things are due to conditions of ether."

"Corpuscular activity represents the outflow of the ether from the luminiferous toward neutral centers of aggregation revealing the connecting link between mind and matter. This luminosity has no thermal accompaniment, although, paradoxically, all thermal conditions emanate from etheric vibration. The tenuity of the ether accounts for this. It is only when the streams come in contact with crude matter that heat is evolved from its latent state together with a different order of light, from the luminiferous ether, the sun being the intermediate transmitter." Its sympathetic activity and infinite tenuity give it a frequency so great as to evolve self-luminescence. This very property of self-luminescence evidenced by the ether indicates a still greater region beyond. " Keely

"How can we measure the velocity of the etheric capsule - the differential range of its vibratory action? How can we actually prove the laws governing its motions, attractions and disintegration?"

"By progressive disintegration, accomplished by the proper vibratory focalized exciters we may prove all these things. By means of those introductory acoustic impulses which negatize their molecular, atomic and interatomic neutral affinities for the center of the aggregate mass we may demonstrate the laws of those vibrations which control the etheric capsule and the conditions on which these vibrations act."

"Consideration of even the introductory conditions of the etheric stage of vibration convinces me that the attraction of the rotating stream for the neutral center is directly proportional to its velocity. Were it otherwise, there could not be any planetary formations, or a molecular Universe. If a billiard ball is rotated rapidly enough, it will burst into fragments, which will disperse at various tangents. But if I should rotate a ball of ether, the higher the velocity the greater would be its attraction for the neutral center and its consequent cohesion or individuality.

Imagine a magnified molecule twelve inches in diameter, having an atmospheric film 1/16th inch in thickness, rotating billions of times per second, at the same relative velocity as the etheric molecular capsule. It would rotate with such frequency that a particle on its exterior would travel no less than 600,000 miles per second, which would give to it such rigidity that it would be impenetrable to a steel pointed projectile at the greatest velocity we could give it. Considering the affinity of the capsule for the neutral center, which increases with the velocity, this film could enclose a pressure of several thousands of pounds per square inch. It is simply the internal pressure, registered on the specially built lever, which resulted in pressure of 5,000 to 32,000 lbs. per square inch, as produced in Keely's experiments.

Although no amount of pressure can cause the molecules to actually come in contact with each other or to rub each other, the molecular volume can be reduced by enormous pressure and the resultant tension on the rotating etheric capsule induces heat or "thermal reduction." This induced heat is a positive proof of the wonderful velocity of the etheric envelope. Were the molecules dead to sympathetic vibration and with no rotating etheric envelope, they would be incompressible and the application of pressure would produce no thermal change. "Celestial sympathetic radiation of the "compound interetheric" is the fountain head from which all aggregate matter is formed, the controlling force in all aggregations. If there were no radiation from the great Celestial Center, space would be void.

"The mathematics of vibratory etheric science, both pure and applied, require long and arduous research. It seems to me no man's life is long enough to cover more than the introductory branch. The theory of elliptic functions, the calculus of probabilities, are but pygmies in comparison to a science that requires the utmost tension of the human mind to grasp."Keely

Law of Vibrating Atomolic Substances: "Atoms are capable of vibrating within themselves at a pitch inversely as the Dyne (the local coefficient of Gravity), and as the atomic volume, directly as the atomic weight, producing the creative force (Electricity), whose transmissive force is propagated through atomolic solids, liquids, and gases, producing induction and the static effect of magnetism upon other atoms of attraction or repulsion, according to the Law of Harmonic Attraction and Repulsion.

Scholium: The phenomenon of Dynamic Electricity through a metallic conductor and of induction are identical. In a metallic conductor, the transmission is from atom to atom, through homologous interstices, filled with ether, presenting small areas in close proximity. In crystalline structures, heat, which expands the atoms, by twisting them produces striae, increases the resistance, etc. Between parallel wires and through air the induction takes place from large areas through a rarefied medium composed of a mixture of substances, whose atoms are separated by waves of repulsion of various pitches, discordant to electric vibrations; the said atoms sympathetically absorb the vibrations and dissipate from themselves, as centers, concentric waves of electric energy which produces heat and gravism." Maxwell pointed out its application to the possible or probable explanation of electric effects by the influence of a medium, and showed that that medium - the medium whose motions constitute light - must be ether. Maxwell's 'electromagnetic theory of light' marks a stage of enormous importance in electromagnetic doctrine, and I cannot doubt but that in electromagnetic practice we shall derive great benefit from a pursuing of the theoretical ideas suggested by such considerations." "We thus have simply the undulatory theory of light, as an inevitable consequence of believing that the displacement of an elastic solid by which, in my old paper [of 1847], I gave merely a 'representation' of the electric currents and the corresponding magnetic forces, is a reality. But to give anything like a satisfactory material realization of Maxwell's electromagnetic theory of light, it is necessary to show electrostatic force in relation to the force (X, Y, Z) of my formulas; to explain the generation of heat according to Ohm's Law in virtue of the action of this force when it causes an electric current to flow through a conductor; and to show how it is that the velocity of light in ether is equal to, or perhaps we should rather say, is, the number of electrostatic units in the electromagnetic unit of electric quantity. All this essentially involves the consideration of ponderable matter permeated by, or imbedded in ether, and a tertium quid which we may call electricity, a fluid go-between, serving to transmit force between ponderable matter and ether ... I see no way of suggesting properties of matter, of electricity, or of ether, by which all this, or any more than a very slight approach to it, can be done, and I think we must feel at present that the triple alliance, ether, electricity, and ponderable matter is rather a result of our want of knowledge, and of capacity to imagine beyond the limited present horizon of physical science, than a reality of nature." We might imagine it to be a material whose ultimate property is to be incompressible; to have a definite rigidity for vibrations in times less than a certain limit, and yet to have the absolutely yielding character that we rocognize in wax-like bodies when the force is continued for a sufficient time. It seems probable that the molecular theory of matter may be so far advanced sometime or other that we can understand an excessively fine-grained structure and understand the luminiferous ether as differing from glass and water and metals in being very much more finely grained in its structure. We must not attempt, however, to jump too far in the inquiry, but take it as it is, and take the gret facts of the wave theory of light as giving us strong foundations for our convictions as to the luminifereous ether." Laing

Perhaps the best way to convey some idea of this order of magnitudes to the ordinary reader is to quote Sir Wm. Thomson's illustration, that if we could suppose a cubic inch of water magnified to the size of the earth - i.e., to a sphere 24,000 miles in circumference - the dimensions of its ultimate particles, etherons, magnified on the same scale, or, as he expresses it, its degree of coarse-grainedness, would be something between the size of rifle-bullets and cricket-balls.

Extraordinary as these dimensions are, they are not more so than those at the opposite extremity of the scale, where the distance of stars and nebulae has to be measured by the number of thousand years their light, traveling at the rate of 192,000 miles per second, takes to reach us. Infinitely small, however, as those dimensions appear to our original conceptions derived from our natural senses, they are certain and ascertained facts, if not as to the precise figures, yet beyond all doubt as to the orders of magnitude. In dealing with them also we are to a great extent on familiar ground. Molecules are nothing more or less than small pieces of ordinary matter; and atoms are also matter, for they obey the law of gravity, have definite weights, and build up molecules as surely as molecules build up ordinary matter, and as squared stones build up pyramids.

But to understand the constitution of the material universe we must go a step further, part from the familiar world of sense, and deal with an all-prevading medium, which is at the same time matter and not matter, which lies outside the laws of gravity, and yet obeys other laws intelligible and calculable by us; of which it may be said we know it and we know it not. We call it Ether.

Ether is a medium assumed as a necessary consequence from the phenomena of light, heat, and elctricity - primarily from those of light. Respecting light two facts are known to us with absolute certainty.

1st. It traverses space at a rate of 192,000 miles per second.
2nd. It is propagated not by particles actually traveling at this rate, but, like sound through air, by the transmission of waves.

The first fact is known from the difference of time at which eclipses of Jupiter's satellites are seen according as the earth is at the point of its orbit nearest to or farthest from Jupiter - i.e., from the time light takes to traverse the diameter of the earth's orbit, which is about 180 millions of miles; and this velocity of light is confirmed by direct experiments, as by noting the difference of time between seeing the flash and hearing the sound of a gun, which gives the velocity of light compared with the known velocity of sound.

The second fact is equally certain from the phenomena of what are called interferences, when the crest of one wave just overtakes the hollow of a preceding one, so that, if the two waves are of equal magnitude, the oscillations exactly neutralize one another, and two lights produce darkness. This is shown in a thousand different ways, and for all the different colors depending on different waves into which white light is analyzed when passed through a prism. It is a certain result of wave-motion, and of wave-motion only, and therefore we know without a doubt that light is propagated by waves.

But waves inply a medium through which waveforms are transmitted, for waves are nothing but the rhythmic motion of something which rises and falls, or oscillates symmetrically about a mean position of rest, slowly or quickly according to the less or greater elasticity of the medium. The waves which run along a large and slack wire are large and slow, those along a small and tightly stretched wire are small and quick; and from the data we possess as to light, its velocity of transmission, its refraction when its waves pass from one medium into another of different density, and from the distance between the waves as shown by interference, it is easy to calculate the lengths and vibratory periods of the waves, and the elasticity of the medium through which such waves are transmitted.

The figures at which we arrive are truly extra ordinary. The dimensions and rates of oscillations of the waves which produce the different colors of visile light have been measured and calculated withthe greatest accuracy, and they are as follows:

The elasticity of this wonderful medium is even more extraordinary.

The rapidity with which wave-motion is transmitted depends, other things being equal, on the elasticity of the medium, which is proportional to the square of the velocity with which a wave travels through it. As the velocity of the sound-wave in air is about 1,100 feet a second, and that of the light-wave about 192,000 miles in the same time, it follows that the velocity of the latter is about a million times greater than that of the former, and if the density of ether were the same as that of air, its elasticity must be about a million million times greater. But the elasticity is the same thing as the power of resisting compression, which in the case of air we know to be about 15 pounds to the square inch; so that the ether, if equally dense, would balance a pressure of 15 million million pounds to the square inch - that is, it would require a pressure of about 750 millions of tons to the square inch to condense ether to the density of the air. On the other hand, its density, if any, must be so infinitesimally small that the earth moving through it in its orbit with a velocity of 1,100 miles a minute suffers no perceptible retardation.

Consider what this means. Air blowing at the rate of 100 miles an hour is a hurricane uprooting trees and levelling houses. If ether were as dense as air the resistance to the earth in passing through it would be 600 times that of going dead to wind in a tropical hurricane. But in point of fact there is no sensible resistance, for the earth and heavenly bodies move in their calculated paths according to the law of gravity exactly asthey would do if they were moving in a vacuum. Even the comets, which consist of such excessively rare matter that when one of them got entangled among the satelittes of Jupiter it did not affect their movements, are not retarded by the ether, or so slightly, that any retardation in the case of one or two ofthem is suspected rather than proved. But, if the ether has no weight, how can we call it material, weight being, as we have seen, the invariable test and measure of all matter down to the minutest atom? And yet how can we deny its existence when it is demonstrably necessary to account for undoubted facts revealed to us every day by the prism, the spectroscope, electricity, and chemical action, and deductions from these facts based on the strict laws of mathematical calculation? For the existence of the ether is not based only on phenomena of light: it is an equally necessary postulate to explain those of heat, electricity, and chemical action. We must conceive of our atoms and molecules as forming systems and performing their movements, not in vacuo, but in an all-prevading medium of this ether, to which they impart, andfrom which they receive, impulses.

These impulses are excessively minute, and when they occur in irregular order they produce no appreciable effect; but when the vibrations of the ether keep time with those of the atoms, the multitude of small effects becomes summed up into one considerable enough to produce great changes. Just so a rhythmic succession of tiny ripples may set a heavy buoy oscillating, and the footfalls of a regiment of soldiers marching over a suspension-bridge may make it swing until it breaks down, while a confused mob could traverse it in safety. The latter affords a good illustration of the way in which molecular structures may be broken down, and their atoms set free to enter into other combinations, by the action of heat, light, or chemical rays beyond the visible end of the spectrum.

Conversely the phenomena of the spectroscope all depend on the fact that the vibrations of atoms and molecules can propagate waves through the ether, as well as absorb ether-waves into their own motions, and thus spectra distinquished by bright or dark lines peculiar to each substance, by which it can be identified. Whatever ether may be, this much is certain about it: it prevades all space. That it extends to the boundaries of the infinitely great we know from the fact that light reaches us from the remotest stars and nebulae, andthat in this light the spectroscope enables us to detect waves propagated and absorbed by the very same vibrations ofthe same familiar atoms at the enormous distances as at the earth's surface. Glowing hydrogen, for instance, is a principal ingredient of the sun's atmosphere and ofthose distant suns we call stars, and it affects the ether and is affected by it exactly in the same manner asthe hydrogen burning in an ordinary gas-lamp.

In the direction also of the infinitely small, ether permeates the apparently solid structure of crystals, whose molecules perform their limited and rigidly definite movements in an atmosphere of it, as is shown by the fact that in so many cases light and heat penetrate through them. A whole series of remarkable phenomena arise from the manner in which the vibrations of ether which cause light are affected by the structure of the molecules of crystals through which they pass. In certain cases they are what is called polarised, or so affected that while they pass freely if the crystal is held in one direction, they are stopped if it is turned round through an angle of 90ƒ to its former position, so that one and the same crystal may be alternately transparent and non-transparent. It would seem as if its structure were like that of wood, grained, and more easy to penetrate if cut with the grain than against it, so that when a ray of light attempted to penetrate, its vibrations were resolved into two, one with the grain which got through, the other against it which was suppressed; so that the emeging ray, which entered with a circular vibration, got out with only one rectilinear vibration parallel to the diameter which coincided with the grain.

Other crystals of more complicated structure affect transmitted light in a more complex way, developing a double polarity very similar to that induced in the iron filings when brought under the influence of the two poles of the magnet. With this polarised light the most beautiful colored rings can be produced from the waves of the different colors into which the white (undifferentiated) light has been analyzed in passing through the crystal, which alternately flash out and disappear as the cyrstal is turned round its axis, and which present a remarkable analogy to the curves into which the iron filings form themselves under the single or double poles of the magnet.

The importance of this will appear afterwards, but for the present it is sufficient to show that the waves of ether which cause light really penetrate through the molecules of crystals, but in doing so may be affected by them.

An attempt has recently been made, based on abstruse mathematical calculations, to carry our nowledge of the constitution of matter one step further back, and identify atoms with ether. This is attempted by the vortex theory of Helmholz, Sir W. Thomson, and Professor Tait. It is singular how some of the ultimate facts discovered by the refinements of science correspond with some of the most trivial amusements. Thus the blowing of soap-bubbles gives the best clue to the movement of waves of light, and through them to the dimensions of molecules and atoms; and the collision of billiard-balls, knocked about at random, to the movements ofthose minute bodies, and the kinetic theory of gases. In the case of the vortex theory the idea is given by the rings of smoke which certain adroit smokers amuse themselves by puffing into the air. These rings float for a considerable time, retaining their circular form, and showing their elasticity by oscillating about it and returning to it if their form is altered, and by rebounding and vibrating energetically, just as two solid bodies would do, if two rings come into collision. If we try to cut them in two, they recede before the knife, or bend around it, returning, when the external force is removed, to their original form without the loss of a single particle, and preserving their own individuality through every change of form and of velocity. This persistance of form they owe to the fact that their particles are revolving in small circles at right angles to the axis or circumference of the larger circle which forms the ring; motion thus giving them stability, very much as in the familiar instance ofthe bicycle. They burst at last because they are formed and rotate in the air, which is a resisting medium; but mathematical callculation shows that in a perfect fluid free from all friction these vortex rings would be indivisible and indestructible: in other words, they would be atoms.

The vortex theory assumes, therefore, that the universe consists of one uniform primary substance, a fluid which fills all space, and that what we call matter consists of portions ofthis fluid which have become animated with vortex motion. The innumerable atoms which form molecules, and through molecules all the diversified forms of matter of the material universe, are therefore simply so many vortex rings, each perfectly limited, distinct, and indestructible, both as to its form, mass, and mode of motion. They cannot change or disappear, nor can they be formed spontaneously. Those of the same kind are constituted after the same fashion, and therefore are endowed with the same properties.

The theory is a plausible one, and the reputation of its authors must command for it respectful consideration; but it is as yet a long way from being an established theory which can be accepted as a true representation of facts. In the first place it is based solely on mathematical theory, and not, as in the case of atoms and light-waves, upon actual facts of weight and measurement tested by experiment, andto which mathematical reasoning affords only an aid and supplement. No one has proved the existence of such a medium or of such vortex rings, much less weighed or measured them.

Moreover the theory is open to some very obvious objections. How can aggregations of imponderable matter acquire weight, and become subject to the law of gravity, which, as we have seen, is one of the essential and permanent qualities of atoms? If a cubic millionth of a millimeter of ether formed into a big vortex ring of, say, an atom of mercury, has a weight equal to 200 times that of an atom of hydrogen, which itself has a definite wweight, why has it no weight in its original form? And if it had weight, however small, how could the enormous mass of ether filling all space produce no perceptible effect on bodies, even of attenuated cometic vapor, revolving through it with immense velocities? Again, how could these innumerable vortex rings be formed out of the ether without disturbing the uniformity and continuity of the medium, which are essential for the propagation of the light-waves through it? And how could the motions requisite to form th cortex rings be impressed on the them de novo consistently with the principle of the conservation of energy? Energy can no more be created out of nothing than matter, by any process known in nature or conceivable by the human intellect; and to assume it is simply a more refined manner of falling back on the superatural, which is itself only a more refined manner of saying that we know nothing.

For the present, therefore, we must be content with atoms and ether as the ultimate terms or our knowledge of the material or quasi-material components of the universe.

The history of science records the 1887 ether-drift experiment of Albert Michelson and Edward Morley as a pivotal turning point, where the energetic ether of space was discarded by mainstream physics. Thereafter, the postulate of "empty space" was embraced, along with related concepts which demanded constancy in light-speed, such as Albert Einstein's relativity theory. The now famous Michelson-Morley experiment is widely cited, in nearly every physics textbook, for its claimed "null" or "negative" results. Less known, however, is the far more significant and detailed work of Dayton Miller.

Dayton Miller's 1933 paper in Reviews of Modern Physics details the positive results from over 20 years of experimental research into the question of ether-drift, and remains the most definitive body of work on the subject of light-beam interferometry. Other positive ether-detection experiments have been undertaken, such as the work of Sagnac (1913) and Michelson and Gale (1925), documenting the existence in light-speed variations (c+v > c-v), but these were not adequately constructed for detection of a larger cosmological ether-drift, of the Earth and Solar System moving through the background of space. Dayton Miller's work on ether-drift was so constructed, however, and yielded consistently positive results.

Miller's work, which ran from 1906 through the mid-1930s, most strongly supports the idea of an ether-drift, of the Earth moving through a cosmological medium, with calculations made of the actual direction and magnitude of drift. By 1933, Miller concluded that the Earth was drifting at a speed of 208 km/sec. towards an apex in the Southern Celestial Hemisphere, towards Dorado, the swordfish, right ascension 4 hrs 54 min., declination of -70ƒ 33', in the middle of the Great Magellanic Cloud and 7ƒ from the southern pole of the ecliptic. (Miller 1933, p.234) This is based upon a measured displacement of around 10 km/sec. at the interferometer, and assuming the Earth was pushing through a stationary, but Earth-entrained ether in that particular direction, which lowered the velocity of the ether from around 200 to 10 km/sec. at the Earth's surface. Today, however, Miller's work is hardly known or mentioned, as is the case with nearly all the experiments which produced positive results for an ether in space. Modern physics today points instead to the much earlier and less significant 1887 work of Michelson-Morley, as having "proved the ether did not exist".

Famous American ÈmigrÈ electrical inventor and eccentric who’s numerous inventions fueled much of the electrical 20th century.

Tesla produced the AC system, including polyphase systems. From his experiments he knew that the EM wave in vacuum was longitudinal, like sound waves. In spite of his great accomplishments, his eccentricities and grandiose pronouncements did not endear him to electrodynamicists! An example is his acrid comment: "...I showed that the universal medium is a gaseous body in which only longitudinal pulses can be propagated, involving alternating compressions and expansions similar to those produced by sound waves in the air. Thus, a wireless transmitter does not emit Hertz waves which are a myth, but sound waves in the ether, behaving in every respect like those in the air, except that, owing to the great elastic force and extremely small density of the medium, their speed is that of light." Another major example is his statement: "The Hertz wave theory of wireless transmission may be kept up for a while, but I do not hesitate to say that in a short time it will be recognized as one of the most remarkable and inexplicable aberrations of the scientific mind which has ever been recorded in history."

Ironically, modern quantum mechanics has almost proven Tesla right that "the universal medium is a gaseous body." Today the modern QM vacuum is very much like a virtual particle gas. And of course the discussions in this present annotated glossary show why I personally am of the opinion that Tesla was also correct in his firm disbelief that those Faraday-Maxwell "taut physical strings without physical holders" filled the ether and provided transverse EM wave oscillations. I also agree with him that the EM wave in vacuum is a longitudinal wave, exactly like a sound wave. I believe that the transverse gyroelectron precession waves that our instruments actually measure in the conductor when it receives an incoming EM wave from the vacuum, proves that the vacuum wave is indeed longitudinal—else it would seem we must discard the spin of an electron and the theory of gyroscopes. Finally, one should see, e.g., Patrick Cornille, "Inhomogeneous Waves and Maxwell's Equations." Chapter 4 in Essays on the Formal Aspects of Electromagnetic Theory, Aklesh Lakhtakia, Ed., World Scientific, New York, 1993. Cornille clearly shows that Maxwell's equations are directly created by scalar potential interferometry. As he states, this means that EM force field wave s are created by the interference of sound-type scalar potential waves, or "sound creates light." This strongly supports Tesla's original statement that EM waves in the vacuum are actually EM sound waves, much like sound waves in a gas.

As a viewer of the research of others it is most gratifying to come across those statements of ‘fact’ that appear to ‘corroborate’ one’s beliefs…impressions…….and attitudes regarding our understanding of the ‘system’ of ‘creation’.

We live in a world of ‘chaos’ theory……..and of extreme ‘complexity’, ranging from the ‘micro’ to the ‘macro’ systems dealing in ‘complex’ ‘infinities’………So when one finds a refreshing statement like Tesla’s, equating: "EM wave in vacuum was longitudinal, like sound waves" I regain my respect for the Biblical pronouncement: ‘Then God [said], Let there be light" as the first initiator of ‘Creation.’ [from the Book of Genesis].

For the ‘Light" that ‘God" ‘spoke’ into ‘existence’ became the ‘canvas’ upon which the ‘Creation’ was ‘painted’ [structured]

Ether has had a bad rap for over 100 years. The scientists of the 1800s worked with it to great advantage until the Ether Theory was killed off by Einsteinian followers. Einstein believed in it yet those coming after him disallowed its existence.

Keely not only believed in it be developed machinery to make use of its powers. I have stated before that ether (as Keely used it) was dissociated H and O atoms. The theory being that a corpuscle of matter is composed of smaller more energetic corpuscles or particles. What are the smaller more energetic particles making up H? According to conventional science H is composed of electrons and neutrons. Further these components of H are composed of photons which are composed of quarks, etc. So far so good.

What if photons, quarks and gluons were earlier known by another name yet possessed the same descriptive characteristics?

It just so happens Russell gives us a perfectly sound and logical morphology of these pre-Hydrogen elements. There are 25 of them (according to Russell) one of which he calls Luminon of which he says:

"Luminon (403-), is the basis of the cold light of the future. Luminosity [from Luminon] of better color can be produced by regenerative excitation of this radiative gas at about one forty-thousandth of the expenditure of energy necessary to produce the same degree of luminosity by the use of a tungsten filament.

Luminon can also be produced by transmutation at a negligible expenditure.

Luminon is plentiful in many substances but its separation would involve more labor and expense than would its production by transmutation, which means simply the changing of dimension of a basic supply which plentiful in those octaves familiarly termed "the air". [The Universal One, page 100.]

I submit that Russell's Luminon is none other than Keely's Luminferous Ether. I also submit my own theory that a photon of concentional physics is the very same element which exists under a range varying pressure gradients (like everything else). The ether then is none other than our quantum soup composed of many quantum entities. Now this ether is a much differnt entity than the aether.  See Meade's description of aether and this chart which shows the relationships between aether, ether and atomic matter (in that order of concentration and aggregation).

Cavitation of water creates Sonoluminescense (light) and releases constituent particles. This process of subjecting water to a quick high vacuum lowers the pressure potential level thus dissociating the water molecule into its constitutent parts. The very same process Keely used. And this is the very same process Russell repeatedly stresses in The Universal One.

The insight to awaken is Russell has provided us with not only a chart of these etheric elements but gives the reasons, premises, principles and logic for their existence and dynamics. We have in our hands a beginner's treatise from which we can develop a solid foundation for etheric physics. [Dale Pond 3/24/02]

Ferns and most other living entities develop in a spiral fashion, also. But what are the subtle forces which conspire to model physical form from energy swirls?

To answer what subtle forces condense energy into matter, let us visualize a spiral of dark and light "arms", such as appears in a galaxy. This form may be seen as a flattened vortex. Any vortex requires a balance between centrifugal (entropic) forces and centripetal (centropic) forces, or it ceases to exist. Contemporary Western physics has chosen to focus upon the entropic forces as dominant powers underlying all dynamics. Were you taught that all things flowed to entropy, and that it would be necessary to invoke man's arsenal of technology to overcome a naturally diminished existence? If so, you were misled into thinking of the Universe as a unidirectional, lopsided place, which is unnatural. The more cogent Truth is that the Universe and all its forces are balanced ebbs and flows of varied movements which subsequently direct physical form. Rudolph Steiner wrote and lectured abundantly about how the formative etheric (centropic) and astral forces collaborated to create form out of energy. The flows resulting from Ether always seek to establish greater harmony. When phenomena don't seem logical, we are failing to see this Truth.

Centropic forces cannot be separated from entropic forces any more than yin can be isolated from yang. To propose that one element of the whole could solely determine the course of the Universe is to overlook entire dimensions of dynamics. Such "logic" would replace our natural sense of wonder and joy (a state of living in dynamic openness) with perception-bound reasoning that portrays life as anything less. This is not good enough for us any longer. We can shift our perceptions in a most fulfilling way by using our consciousness to entertain more responsive and far-reaching vision. Ether is the forgotten, centropic factor in the formula of life. Until Ether and centropy are factored back into our thinking patterns, our vision is half-blind, as are all related corollaries. More importantly, renewed vision viewed with new eyes creates boundless possibilities for improved life.

Before discussing the Ether and resultant subtle forces, let us discuss the usefulness of the topic. What good are theories if we cannot eventually use them to improve our lives? By assimilating the larger energy dynamic picture, it is possible to use the information to reconfigure physical substance via bioenergy. That is to say, one can grow to alter her/his own Electromagnetic Field (EMF) dynamics so that s/he can speed up healing or rearrange Ether. Most people accept the concept of using biofeedback to alter physiological functions. Advanced bioelectrical force alteration through expansion of one's awareness can routinely improve physical and psychological healing outcomes. The Etheric device developed by the writer supports this assertion, as do healing practices of the Aborigines, Orientals, and other holistic thinkers who saw the Universe as more than an assemblage of components. In cultures and with individuals who work with the subtle forces instead of depending on the denser physical methods of healing, "miracles" are experienced frequently. The "norm" is a speedy healing. More specifics on this will be presented later.

What is Ether?

This paper is concerned with delineating the missing part to the puzzle that determines subtle force dynamics. That part is Ether. Ether is the blank canvas upon which the subtle forces emerge; the substrate through which Etheric, Astral, magnetic and gravitational force matrices crystallize their structure, themselves becoming templates for energy condensing into physical form.

Etheric Force is an implosive, center-seeking essence; the centropic force within a vortex, the "invisible light energy arm" of the galaxy spiral, or the yin (female) principal. It is counterpart and partner to the entropic, centrifugal, "visible light arm", radiating yang (masculine) principal which is Astral energy. Modern Western science has focused away from Etheric Forces in deference to cultivating the Astral, male, radiant, explosive forces of the Universe.

In more concretely applied terms, Ether may be visualized as a medium which surrounds and permeates us. There is a layer of Ether around Earth and each living entity. Your Etheric layer is your Etheric Body. It is the part of the EMF that lies closest to your physical body (demonstrating its center-seeking properties) and is an energy template for your physical body. It is the Etheric Body that sustains the "current of injury" whose purpose is to construct energy matrices which densify into regenerative tissue, as documented by Dr. Robert O. Becker.

True to the nature of the Universe, Ether is paradoxically what can unite or separate any entities in the Universe. The insulator/conductor, selective, dual properties are activated by the pattern of matrices formed through the Ether. What forms those insulating or conducting matrices? Not the Ether, which is an inert medium of transit or resistance, but very subtle wave patterns generated by external sources (such as living things). It is the characteristics of these waves that shape the Etheric matrices. Herein lies the mechanism of how intent can effect subtle forces, which effect physical outcome.

What can these Etheric matrices do? When open, they can relay bioenergy messages. The wave patterns which created the matrices in the Ether use those pathways to communicate with others, or to condense their energy into physical structure, depending upon the nature of the matrix. Vibrational patterns traversing the matrices, or channels within the Ether, are able to affect nearby wave patterns (and their sources) as well as those which are distal in space and time. It is Ether that bridges the gap with pathways that form between two entities. The Ether is the medium through which Rupert Sheldrake's morphogenetic field dynamics are catalyzed. Dr. Sheldrake's work corroborates the premise of this paper; that a unified field transcends the boundaries of space and time. His work focuses upon morphic or biofield dynamics. This paradigm is fractally true in the fields of subatomic mechanics to interstellar relationships, and anything in between. Here we have a basis for Ether as a unified field, as well as a medium for telepathic communication.

To illustrate this concept, let us consider that a vibrational pattern is generated and sent out into the Universe. Let us envision that of the myriad of vibrational patterns that make up matter and energy, we focalize on the thought of a person we know. This thought is the source of a bioelectric impulse sent out to the Universe. The resultant vibration is really a combination of many vibrations (our thoughts, feelings and will), which relate to our reaction to that person. Let us say that we feel Love for the person of whom we are thinking. This feeling has a particular vibration, just as does our visualization of their physical self, our memories of them, etc. The vibrational characteristics of wave patterns which contain Loving intent effect the surrounding Ether in a particular manner. Such highly evolved intent vibrationally creates a "spin" on the original vibratory transmission. The Love consciousness embodies harmonious entropic and centropic vector components. When these are imparted within our above-mentioned thought, their balanced centripetal and centrifugal force vectors spin the vibratory thought pattern into a highly efficient, even cohesive, "rifled" flow pattern. Since the outcome is not predominantly entropic, distance is no "matter". This mechanism is a cogent explanation for remote healing, viewing and communication. In our example, one who is adept at concentrating thought, will and Love remotely will quite frequently be able to effect remote physical effects. These would include simultaneous communication, "coincidental" event effects, and physical reactions by the object of a remote healing.

Seven Types of Etheric Force

The writer's exploration has led her to research historic theories about Ether, and experiment with the densification and accumulation of it. It is hypothesized that the inert medium of Ether, when densified and rarified according to Universal Law, can be catalyzed to create fractally shaped channels. These channels form the pathways through which their associated components may flow, given certain conditions. The components flow through channels which conform to their specific shape. For instance, in Liquid Ether, the structure of gravitational strings finds correspondence with the shapes of the channels made available by surrounding influences. Among the influences molding the Ether are states of consciousness and intent focused upon it. The writer has been conducting small-scale research into the applied use of this mechanism in assisting people with Learning Disabilities (LD), with success. (Fractally, there are striking similarities between the bioelectric mechanisms of some forms of LD and the Etheric matrix mechanisms accessed by the Etheric accumulator, Sophigurate.)

There are different combinations of matrices within Ether which create seven forms of Ether. Original research into the varied forms of Ether are presented here for the first time. The explanations are very basic and stated briefly. They are as follows:

Seven Types of Etheric Force

1. LIQUID ETHER FORCE. Composed of gravitational strings, karmic force and Love. Properties are somewhat liquid and flowing. Liquid Ether has the ability to directly support Etheric functions of a living body. This is the Ether that is accumulated in one of the devices yet to be investigated below. It is useful in healing physical trauma and neurological and attitude problems, as shown by the author's research.

2. REGENERATIVE ETHER FORCE. Composed of pulsed current strings, and a web of resultant pulsed magnetic fields. It would be helpful for healing all wounds, and for degenerative conditions.

3. TRANSMUTATIONAL ETHER FORCE. The specific contents are not elucidated at this time, but consist of solar energy transmuted by humans. This Ether Force is used exclusively for spiritual purposes.

4. INSPIRATIONAL ETHER FORCE. Contents include compassion, strings of celestial (Astral) energy, and Universal radiance (a balanced blend of Etheric and Astral components of the cosmos). This makes possible communication of the beauty and ingenuity provided by the Universe. The heart and spiritual organs of perception combine forces to communicate cosmic Truth for use by the many. This Ether Force is helpful to raise the consciousness of an individual or group toward a high cause.

5. TRANSCENDENTAL ETHER FORCE. Applied through compliance with Universal Law, magnetic alignment, and the Christ Consciousness. This Ether Force is helpful in transcending time, space, and consciousness boundaries. Useful in any area.

6. MULTIDIMENSIONAL ETHER FORCE Composed of Love, compassion, karmic force, Christ Consciousness, and planetary forces. Helpful in bringing the individual into harmony with his/her potential to raise the consciousness of the human condition. Useful in healing a blockage of the rightful use of the self. Such blockages result in ego imbalance.

7. SYNERGISTIC ETHER FORCE Perhaps the ultimate Etheric Force, it is composed of varying quantities of the previously mentioned Etheric components (depending upon circumstances). This Ether represents the coming together of karmic forces in such a way as to contribute to the enlightenment of the race in a most highly orchestrated fashion. THIS WILL BE THE SOURCE OF FREE ENERGY. IT WILL BE KARMICALLY DIRECTED AND UNIQUELY SIMPLE.

The Nature of Densified and Rarified Ether

The nature of Universal dynamics is based upon a balanced and harmonious flow between polar forces. Each portion of the Universe, each creature, is the product of the forces which act between densified and rarified Ether. At the very basis of the dynamics previously discussed is Ether. The inert Ether itself has those vortical, galactic "arms" which provide the substrate for the dance of yin and yang.

Densified Ether may be represented as the arms which appear to be dark, but are non- visible light. Its density changes the nature of waves that pass through it. Rarified Ether is the male, radiant, visible light arm of the galaxy. It can create resistance to wave transmission due to lack of medium to support the wave pattern. Harmonious juxtapositioning of these two polar densities of Ether imparts vibrational characteristics to transient wave patterns that allow them to become cohesive and constructive. By constructive, it is meant that such waves induce positive changes to the advantage of the overall workings of the system. This translates into an improved quality of life, but rarely a quantifiable one in terms of Western Science. When exposed to such harmonious ambience, one "feels peaceful and better". In order to quantify this, science needs to evaluate entire systems, because the positive effects do not necessarily present themselves in the fragments selected for lab tests. Bigger picture changes can be quantified, but require an attitude of more respectfulness toward all facets of the studies, regarding how the researcher's consciousness effects outcome. The morphogenetic or Ether field paradigm points to the impossibility for us to honestly isolate any portion of data collection. Hence, "modern" research protocol becomes ineffectual, evidence of which is replicated daily (see any scientific trade journal in which studies cite erroneous assumptions which were previously proven "true").

May Ether Force Be With You

Let us look at the implications of Ether upon the individual and society. Within your Electromagnetic Field (EMF) resides an Etheric component which is a fractal of Universal Ether. The more the Etheric dynamic is cultivated through development of the consciousness, the clearer the thought patterns become. You will note that the components of most of the forms of Ether mentioned above deal with consciousness patterns of energy, such as Love, compassion, etc. This is an important key to understanding Ether. Through our actions, thoughts and intents, we alter Ether's properties as a medium. This assertion is corroborated by the research conducted using the Etheric accumulator, Sophigurate, which will be discussed later.

Highly efficient, subtle force wave patterns are inherent in highly evolved consciousness and thought patterns. Such patterns coincide with vector forces which are most efficient at connecting one entity to another; a holographic sort of information supersensible highway. In traditional Aboriginal society, people communicated almost exclusively via telepathy. The claim is stated that people can only accomplish this if there is an absence of all dishonesty about the Self. This means developing a psyche freed from the chaotic EMF flow patterns of fear and illusion. The premise of this paper, that we can elicit dramatically more positive effects by raising our consciousness (thus densifying Ether), conforms to the Aborigine's experience.

Other traditional cultures who place a strong emphasis on high ethical standards and a raised consciousness also experience "inexplicable" positive outcomes or "miracles", according to our definition of reality (science). Among the examples of occurrences which have been observed, are "unnatural" alteration of weather patterns, time and physical properties.

When the Dalai Lama fled in exile from his beloved Tibet, armed Chinese forces assisted by air surveillance were unable to find him and his retinue because of a dense mist which dissipated as he reached the safety of India. Buddhist monks and Hindu Holy People routinely alter rain patterns. Wilhelm Reich dabbled in weather and cloud manipulation in conjunction with his "cloub-buster" and "resonator tubes", an Ether flow enhancer. It was this experimentation that caused the persistent cloud cover in the Los Alamos desert which so perturbed the bomb researchers that Reich was the object of many threats and injunctions from the FDA. Eventually, he was jailed. (In addition to this misadventure, he created the Deadly Orgone Energy, Oranur, [as a reaction between his helpful Orgone Energy and a piece of radioactive material], he died while in jail.)

The development of the ability to direct Ether Force must be accompanied by a highly advanced sensitivity regarding Universal Truth. One may gain such spiritual insightfulness through highly placed intent and a Good Heart, both powerful shapers of Etheric Force patterns. If a strong foundation of keen spiritual sensitivity is not established first, outcomes of research may be destructive, even if well intended. Examples, sadly, abound throughout history.

A good first step toward developing a consciousness which is conducive to responsibly harnessing the power of Ether and the subtle forces is to cultivate a strong, densified Etheric Field with which to work. This is best thought of as being in constant development, as one can always fine- tune the cultivation of the subtle force. EMFbeyond its present boundaries. There are sufficient borders to crash, even for an adept. One's Etheric Field forms the connection to the Unified Field.Through constant cultivation of the EMF and Etheric Field, it is possible to remotely view, travel, appear or heal. Some have been able to biolocate in more than one place at a time. Sai Baba and other prophets have been able to manifest physical artifacts from "thin air" (a.k.a. the Ethers). Sai Baba also changes his physical stature from day to day.

Psychic Surgery takes advantage of a highly developed Soul's ability to reconstruct physical matter, rendering it penetrable to an open hand. On a less ambitious scale, it is possible for you to increase your inventiveness and understanding of the Universe through conscious cultivation of your own subtle bioelectric forces. You can become able to feel and know much more, and then to manifest positive energy shifts around you by enhancing your Etheric Force field.

How does this work? Ether imparts, through resonance, its ability to crystallize energy matrices from whence physical form will follow. The Etheric Body invites into the Being as much Ether as it can take. Energy leaks and sluggishness in the EMF, created as a result of negativity and fear in the vibrational consciousness patterns, inhibit energy resonance between the Ether and the Ether Body. Thus the Body feels a sense of disconnection and an inability to identify with Etheric Forces. One whose bioenergetic constitution maintains a high degree of integrity discovers that right use of these Etheric Forces can alter physical dimension "givens".

An exercise to develop your ability to nurture and "feel" your own Etheric Field follows. Growing more and more relaxed and placing your feet on the ground, feel the Earth's energy coming up through your feet. If you don't feel it, or are not sure, pretend you do. Let it flow upward through your legs, trunk and out the top of your head. Let this flow strengthen and continue. It fills you with peacefulness and a sense of communion with Earth. It feels warm and nurturing. As this energy flows stronger and stronger, you will also cultivate the simultaneous flow of celestial energy from Heaven into your crown chakra, down through your head, neck, trunk, legs and out your feet. Let the energy flows of both Heaven and Earth combine in energizing harmony. This sacred combination of the yin and yang energies creates particularly strong and high speed bioenergy vortices. These allow the physical body to simultaneously assimilate and radiate greater amounts of positive subtle forces.

The simultaneous absorption and radiation of constructive energy combines two poles, yin and yang, and this can create Neutrality. This is the Neutral Center of which John Keely wrote; the state of poised and powerful latency from which physical and other dimensions can be altered. In John's inventions, he made use of this knowledge to disassociate atomic bonds with Ether Force and created very sophisticated dances between polar and neutral force fields.

How wonderful if we could apply this information to generate energy, as John Keely did. How sublime if we could apply these principles to our own lives and consciousness. Etheric Instruments of Change

Let us begin discussion of applying Ether to everyday interests by learning from two Etheric Instruments. They hold in common that they were created with intent to help humanity, to build a dream, and without intent to fix outcome to a permanent concept. These were labors of Love, devoted to discovering more about the Universe and its Nature. Both of these devices reflect the New Science paradigm; that object and subject are connected through process, and that outcome is really a step in the process. The process is awakening the Self to its divine wisdom.

Sophigurate

The first invention examined will be a device named Sophigurate (So- figure-8), which was designed and built by the author. The instrument is a series of figure eight windings housed within a geometric, phi-proportioned housing of specifically simple earth materials, where Loving intent to heal is fed into a silver contact, travels through the Etheric accumulation/transformation chamber, and exits via wire to storage within a clay "battery".

The time has come for a project which presents an opportunity to physically feel and experience Ether; an entity shrouded in conceptual, theoretical mystery. Sophigurate makes Ether Force palpable.

The form of Etheric Force accumulated is Liquid Ether Force, or Love "stepped up" by sacred geometry. Its specific components are Love, gravitational strings, and karmic force. Liquid Ether Force is densified Ether that supports matrix structures which can crystallize gravitational strings. The state of latency resides within Ether to be activated by intent and consciousness. Consciousness can densify the Ether, whereas intent catalyses the matrix channels. It is stored for use as a healing non- substance, as an experimental curiosity, and for a healthful ambient presence in one's environment.

Experimental use has demonstrated clearly that physical trauma healing and neurological and other bioelectric conductive malfunctions respond with much greater bioefficiency than "normal". A sense of well-being is frequently experienced. About 80% of those exposed to its beneficial emanation physically feel sensation. The health facilitator is "taken out of the circuit", as the Liquid Ether flows where and if needed, according to karmic dictate. This is a new paradigm to modern thinkers.

Case histories regarding Sophigurate's use are available from the writer. One example is a "non-believer" who agreed to Sophigurate's use only after enduring several straight months of neck and back pain which failed to respond to aggressive, multi-practitioner, establishment therapies. Within half an hour of Sophigurate's use, the person felt the pain subside, and was able to sleep peacefully for the first time in two months. The pain-free state, as well as a dramatic improvement in spirit and personality, lasted until negative patterns of worry were reestablished several months later. Other cases show that long-range, dramatic healing is possible when an awakened consciousness is maintained.

Atlin

The second example of Etheric Science made manifest comes as a group effort to research and develop a Musical Sphere, or Dynasphere which was invented and mysteriously operational 100 years ago thanks to the genius of John Keely. The team consists of several members, headed by Dale Pond. Specification, construction, and energy dynamics input from divine inspiration were contributed via the writer of this paper. The outcome of team collaboration has been the construction and development of Atlin, an updated Dynasphere.

Atlin is an instrument of Etheric dynamics who will rotate as a result of acoustic stimulation, and proper Etheric flow patterns. Research continues to discern those dynamics. John Keely left a rich legacy of ingenious research into subtle force physics, but many secrets interpreting the awesome power within every atom died with him. As a group, we are seeking to understand and demonstrate how becoming consonant with subtle forces provides an Etherphone to the Universe; being centered and peaceful nestles one within natural subtle flow patterns of consciousness, thought and creativity that avail one of understanding Truth. In this case, we are seeking to understand the vibrational triggers to create polarity mode- shifting in controlled patterns, so that subtle forces such as Ether can evoke physical force differentials that can move atoms (in the shape of our Dynasphere, for instance). This energy-to-matter dynamic is routinely seen in enlightened healing. Subtle energy can have more dramatic, yet quieter effects on physical matter than crude physical interventions. Enlightened intent combined with laying on of hands or remediating a destructive thought pattern has the power to remove cancer, and with only positive side effects. Likewise, the enlightened choice of precise pitch applied to glass can shatter it more eloquently than a sledge hammer. Our society has armed us with sledge hammers, then silver bullets to go forth into the world and overcome what we perceive as impediments to our progress. So many deleterious effects have we wrought that we are being forced to seek answers and Truth in obscure, invisible places. The visionaries always see the signs of change first. As New Scientists, do we choose sledge hammers, silver bullets, or a raised consciousness that carries our minds and creativity back into Oneness with our greatest possession: The Heart to use the forces of the Universe?

Implications of Findings to Everyday Life

In conclusion, let us look deeply into the Universe within ourselves in order to find more enlightened inventiveness to apply to our world's needs. How is this done? By expanding one's Labor of Love into a dimension that transcends the self. That dimension is Love for something greater and more powerful than things of this physical existence. This "something greater" is individually unique to each person, yet is her/his connection to the Universe and the True Soul. For one it will be the wish to help Mother Earth. For another to provide a better world for the children to inherit, and another will dedicate her work to bring increased Peace and Love into the workplace, or home. These divine driving forces are more subtle than sledge hammers or even silver bullets, and they provide the subtle energy matrices which connect us with our True selves and kindred spirits so that we might do the work we really need and want to do. Spiritual connections such as these are latent with much power. They are built through and of the Ethers. A truly raised consciousness is one's phonecard into the vast communication system that exists within the Ether.

How do you earn a phonecard to increased inventiveness, or happiness? By Loving more. Loving your work, Loving yourself enough to invest your time in people, places and activities that feed your Soul. Loving the wonder that surrounds us in the mundane.

H. Winfield Secor, Tesla Maps Our Electrical Future, Science and Invention, 19(12), p. 1077, 1124-1126. Quote: "Tesla upholds the startling theory formulated by him long ago, that the radio transmitters as now used, do not emit Hertz waves, as commonly believed, but waves of sound... He says that a Hertz wave would only be possible in a solid ether, but he has demonstrated (as has Keely) already in 1897 that the ether is a gas, which can only transmit waves of sound; that is such as are propagated by alternate compressions and rarefactions of the medium in which transverse waves are absolutely impossible."

In his 1891 A.I.E.E. lecture at Columbia College, Tesla said in pertinent part (emphasis mine): "What is electricity, and what is magnetism? "...We are now confident that electric and magnetic phenomena are attributable to the ether, and we are perhaps justified in saying that the effects of static electricity are effects of ether in motion". "...we may speak of electricity or of an electric condition, state or effect". "...we must distinguish two such effects, opposite in character neutralizing each other". "...for in a medium of the properties of the ether, we cannot possibly exert a strain, or produce a displacement or motion of any kind, without causing in the surrounding medium an equivalent and opposite effect." "...its condition determines the positive and negative character." "We know that it acts like an incompressible fluid;" "...the electro-magnetic theory of light and all facts observed teach us that electric and ether phenomena are identical." "The puzzling behavior of the ether as a solid to waves of light and heat, and as a fluid to the motion of bodies through it, is certainly explained in the most natural and satisfactory manner by assuming it to be in motion, as Sir William Thomson has suggested." "Nor can anyone prove that there are transverse ether waves emitted from an alternate current machine; to such slow disturbances, the ether, if at rest, may behave as a true fluid."

In his statements, Tesla was balancing the various arguments in preparation for his decision: "...Electricity, therefore, cannot be called ether in the broad sense of the term; but nothing would seem to stand in the way of calling electricity ether associated with matter, or bound ether; or, in other words, that the so-called static charge of the molecule is ether associated in some way with the molecule."

"...It cannot differ in density, ether being incompressible: it must, therefore, be under some strain or in motion, and the latter is the most probable." Tesla therefore believed in an ether which was in motion relative to earth, because the earth is in motion.

The thing which Tesla had realized, was that ether possesses electric charges which are deposited on atoms. In supporting the "dynamic" ether concept, he was supporting the "stationary ether" concept, since the "motion" he referred to was "apparent" motion of the ether perceived by an observer on earth, relative to a stationary ether.

The importance of cosmic motion to the electromagnetic effects of static charges was brought up by Tesla in his lecture: "About fifteen years ago, Prof. Rowland demonstrated a most interesting and important fact, namely, that a static charge carried around produces the effects of an electric current." "...and conceiving the electrostatically charged molecules in motion, this experimental fact gives us a fair idea of magnetism. We can conceive lines or tubes of force which physically exist, being formed of rows of directed moving molecules; we can see that these lines must be closed, that they must tend to shorten and expand, etc. It likewise explains in a reasonable way, the most puzzling phenomenon of all, permanent magnetism, and, in general, has all the beauties of the Ampere theory without possessing the vital defect of the same, namely, the assumption of molecular currents. Without enlarging further upon the subject, I would say, that I look upon all electrostatic, current and magnetic phenomena as being due to electrostatic molecular forces."

In these statements, Tesla showed he was aware that any "stationary" locale on earth is actually in fantastic motion ("70,000 mph"). The electrostatic charges "carried around" are currents between atoms and the ether, which produce magnetism. The phenomena of 'permanent magnetism' or 'cosmically induced' magnetism are apparently due to electrostatic charges 'carried around' by cosmic motion, in the universal ether field.

Since no one can hold an atom or molecule perfectly still---because it is in fantastic motion---all atoms and molecules carry currents producing magnetic fields. Since a magnetic field is the product of a current, no one can produce a magnetic field without electricity, moving through or along a conductor, or as electrostatic charges in local or cosmic motion.

The hot soup of free quarks and gluons that existed in the very early universe, and a state of matter that physicists have been trying to re-create amid high-energy nuclear collisions, QGP is actually not a superfluid, as the original version of Update 681 erroneously suggested.

According to University of Washington physicist Laurence Yaffe (206-543-3902, lgy@phys.washington.edu), QGP is actually a normal, conducting fluid. It has viscosity, eliminating it from the list of superfluids. It is somewhat electrically resistive, precluding it from being a superconductor.
