Hi Terry et al!

I meant to include the following in the earlier post;

In such a pneumatic piston arrangement, you must ALLOW FOR
THE INGRESS OF outside air when the explosion takes place,
otherwise you have a SUCTION that will negate the explosive
force and the piston would simply jump a bit and remain in
place.

As I see it, it works like a pump and a diode (check valve)
with the diode being the key to success.

Hmmm, not so sure about any of this but the diode should act
to prevent air flowing out through it but allow any suction
of outside air that was needed.
