Hi Folks!

Found this interesting comment and theory about how geometry
rules nature as posted in a newsgroup.

Have you ever heard of a 'three-dimensional
structure/variable/pattern of infinity'?

I have have 'discovered' such a pattern a few years back. I
know, so what? Who hasn't? Well, as far as I know, no one
has actually created a structure/pattern of repeating
variables (numbers, colors, letters, whatever).

The three dimensional triangle is the sole structure of this
pattern/structure.

If you correctly place 20 triangles side by side from a
center point, you will get a perfect 20 sided dice. This is
the big deal: you now have 21 edges/lines going in
independent directions and 13 points where the triangles'
corners meet.

Now give each point/corner a number (1 to 13). Now add
infinity + 1 triangles to the 20 sided dice. Each triangle
of the original twenty sided dice now makes part of several
other 20 sided dice.

Now this structure/pattern will go on forever. Ya, I know,
this structure/pattern has been discovered many times. No,
this is only part of the '3-D structure/variable/pattern of
infinity'.

Actually, this is the big deal: the 13 points/corners and
the 21 lines/edges of the first 20 sided polygon that go in
their own independent directions.

Actually, a line goes in 2 directions, but lets not let it
confuse us. Even though this structure/pattern stretches
off to infinity, the lines/edges still only have 21
independent directions. Each of these lines/edges repeatedly
criss-cross 5 other lines/edges (forever).

Ok, you may be wondering what's so important about numbering
the first 20 sided polygon with 13 numbers? If you correctly
mark 1 of 13 numbers (or 13 different variables) on each
line/edge at each point/corner, and have each line/edge have
its' own 13 variable sequence (a must) you will have a
perfect '3-dimensional structure/variable/pattern of
infinity'.

If you have a 13 point/corner polygon with only 12 or less
different variables or intersecting lines/edges that the
variables don't line up on, resequence them until they fit.
It may take a while.

Warning: it took 12 full-size poster boards for me to write
out enough of the
pattern/structure to show the pattern will go on forever.

What's interesting about this pattern is if you randomly
pick a million numbers
(1 to 13) and map them out, you would only come to one
point. Change 1 number anywhere, you will end up someplace
totally different.

As far as I know, no other 3-d structure/variable/pattern
exists. Try to create a square base (or whatever shape) type
pattern of this sort and you will fail.

The variables will never line up evenly through the whole
structure. You could have make the variables repeat. Lines
of intersecting variables wouold cross each other out.

Now if I had an actual physical partial structure of this
pattern of infinity with color-coded variables, you couldn't
help but see the perfection.

Unfortunately, I only have this structure/pattern on 12
full-size poster boards. It's too difficult to show it by
using sticks or straws. A computer program with realistic
3-d capability could only show this pattern in its' true
simple perfection.

I'm sure you're starting to wonder what my point is. For one
thing, I knink that this may be the way DNA maps out most of
the cells and their functions in plants and animals.

Each cell may have its' own chemical/electrical signiture.
The cells may work as a collective that tell each cell its'
purpose and when to divide. I'm not going to go into a full
detailed report on how complex life forms are and how this
pattern/structure may interact in many different ways.

I'll just say that when a lizard gets its' tale ripped off,
it doesn't replace 1,000,000+ cells just for the hell of it.
This pattern/structure is so simple that nature must use it.

But then again, I also feel that things from atom structure
to GUT can only really be completely explained by types of
pattern/structures and not by long unreadible equations.

So, what do you think about my 'life through
pattern/strucutre theory? Have you seen this
strucutre/variable/pattern before? Be kind, I cry at cartoon
violence.
