I am not sure what damage is done to magnets by cutting them up, if any, but I
do not think you would want to do this with
Neodymium magnets. I remember reading somewhere that, Neodymium magents are
covered with a protective layer because they are corrivsive, and by machining
these magnets, you would be removing that protective layer. Just something to
think about before you starting cutting up expensive Neodymium magnets.
