Ah... brings back memories from college years.. in energy efficiency. Seems
deriving the equations for Maximum possible efficiency I recall was 28%. At
that time.. (early 80's) the maximum efficiency was around 15%.. but think
it
climbed.. to 25%. Then I lost track... that was a few years ago. I have
not
heard of any "new" methods of conversion.. only improvements but at 28%
being the limit... seems like ti still would be expensive if silicon was
used.
