It was a small insert in the National Enquirer a few years ago,on page
7(sorry no date on the paperclip)(on page 8 a photo of a man standing
besides a toothpick staue he has madeof a man(6 foot statue from Bob's
garage)

Okay, the small article was " SCIENTIST PLANS TO TURN SUNLIGHT INTO
CHEAP ELECTRICITY"
" An 80 yrs old scientist has a bright idea that could mean
incredible cheap solar energy for everyone-and the electricity industry
is backing him with a hughe grant.

Alvin Marks of Athol,Mass,.has patented a technique for turning
sunlight into electricity.Using new materials,he says,the process
produces electricity for only
1 CENT per KILOWATT HR-compared to 5 CENTS an HR for current non-solar
methods and 25 CENTS an HR for the bestknown solar methods.

The ELECTRIC POWER RESEARCH INSTITUTE has given the scientist
$100.000 for further research."

Hence,whatever happened to that process?

Yours,ryb....

P.S. The article did not specify the materials in question,etc...it is
all I have...
also wah tis current price (kilowatt per hr)for producing electricity
per solar energy/light ?
