Your concerns about the validity of Searls claims are shared by many
including myself. However, I do think there is something going on
though it is obfuscated by Searls incapacity or reticence to clearly
explain the process.
It appears he borrowed a tremendous amount of information from
Schappeller, but it also appears he either stumbled on additional
information or came up with something on his own that does indeed have
merit.
I am one who wants to know THE ORIGINAL SIMPLE EXPERIMENT that produced
the anomaly in the first place. Many inventors in order to protect
their invention, will 'complexify' the invention for patent since the
original experiment was so simple anyone could do it and completely
understand what is going on.
An example is the case of EV Gray and his highly complex patented high
voltage engine. The engine patent resulted from a simple experiment
where he charged a high voltage capacitor, placed a magnet on a coil and
discharged the high voltage into the coil for a very sharp, high
intensity magnetic pulse that threw the magnet to the ceiling. From
this he built the engine that was 'sellable' and 'patentable'.
Now, for many years, the primary Searl experiment I'd heard about was
the claim that Searl worked for a company which rewound electric motors.
Somehow he observed that spinning metal will accumulate a charge on the
outside of the metal. He theorized that centrifugal force in a spinning
piece of metal would inertially throw the electrons to the outside of
the ring from the center of the spinning metal. That was the basic
effect and explanationas as I recall it having being explained over
several reports.
Now, in order to test this effect, he is supposed to have built a metal
disc with a detachable coupling that was connected to a lawnmower
engine. I don't know the actual size of the disc but I'm thinking one
report said it was three feet in diameter.
The story goes that he took this contraption out in the country in an
open space surrounded by bushes. When he cranked up the gasoline
engine, the disc increased in speed. Now I don't know if he had a
remote throttle but as the speed increased, ionization of the local air
and the characteristic pale blue glow indicated high voltage appeared on
the outside rim of the disc.
The reports say as the speed continued to increase, the ionization
became so great that bushes 15 or so feet away were crackling with high
voltage and at a certain critical velocity, the disc broke away from the
detachable coupling, rose into the air to a height of about 30-50 feet
(I don't recall the original height), where it stopped, hovered and
continued to speedup, ON ITS OWN.
As it speeded up, the pale blue glow of high voltage ionization changed
to a pink color and it was at this point that the disc shot off into the
upper atmosphere never to be seen again.
Now that is the original report and all else that comes after I find a
bit suspect as history is sometimes rewritten to mask out the early
reports.
Since KeelyNet has always taken a stance of collecting many seemingly
disparate reports for the express purpose of CORRELATING common
observations between the reports, there is one report that jumps out.
This is a claim stated by Otis Carr in the file;

The main relevant comment is;
> He (Carr) said the same "free energy" which causes the earth to
> rotate on its axis and orbit around the sun will turn a machine
> he described as two cones joined at their circular bases.
> When the rotation of such a machine reaches a certain velocity
> relative to the earth's orbital velocity, Carr said, it will take
> off.
There is some macro effect which kicks in when mass is either rotated to
a certain critical velocity or vibrated to a point that it also achieves
that velocity on a finer level. With the use of vibration, the mass is
'moving while standing still'..<g>....IMO many researchers discovered
this effect and how to tap energy from it or produce phenemena such as
gravity control (as Carr did).
Now, back to Searl, some in our group had the opportunity to meet John
Thomas and John Searl at two different conferences a couple of years
ago. Searl was highly evasive when asked any technical question and his
comments would drift from one seemingly unrelated anecdote to another.
That's what we witnessed when groups of more than about 4 people were
around him. One of our associates, Reuben Joswiak, noticed Searl was a
bit lost as people weren't pleased with his reticence to answer tech
questions so went to more informative speakers, so Reuben found Searl
alone and sat down to talk with him.
Reuben asked about the magnets and Searl said the Law of Squares books
related a natural magnetic spin that is associated with each element in
the periodic table.
Searl claims that he found there is a rotational angle associated with
each element and that you can blend each element together in such a way
that the spins REINFORCE each other to produce a high intensity magnetic
rotation from a fixed magnet. Such a fixed magnetic spin would make it
possible to build a self-running magnetic device using cylindrical
magnetic rollers.
Searl told Reuben when you take two of these specially built magnets and
placed them next to each other, they will rotate from simple proximity
to each other. He explained to Reuben that you must mix the elements (4
of them specifically though other combinations were possible) so that
they were cylinders within cylinders, all compressed into one solid
cylindrical roller magnet and that these natural elemental spins would
add to and reinforce each single element spin to create a combined
powerful spin.
Now, Reuben was telling us this as we drove back to Dallas and we were
DUMBFOUNDED to say the least since never had any of us heard Searl speak
about this in any conversation we heard from him or to others. Reuben
never did write it down (specifically what the four preferred elements
were) and we never managed to get together so I could tape his
description and transcribe it for posterity but what is presented here
is the essence of what Searl told Reuben.
In an unrelated story, Searl also told Reuben about an inventor in the
UK who he had known and who had 'disappeared' after he persisted in
trying to get a patent on a hermetically sealed motor. Searl told
Reuben this inventor built a motor and sealed it and the fuel tank from
any outside air. He filled the tank with one pint of gasoline. When the
motor was started, the gasoline was misted into the cylinder and
exploded from a 50KV spark.
Since there was no oxygen or other gases in the vacuum sealed engine,
the gasoline DID NOT BURN, it just expanded to drive the piston. The
vapor was collected and precipated back to a liquid stored in the fuel
tank. This process could be repeated indefinitely since the only source
of power needed was the high voltage spark. Searl said the engine was
demonstrated and the inventor warned to be quiet or face the
consequences, he disappeared shortly after as did the engine and all
notes. Never heard of that happening before...<g>...but the story is
interesting and infinitely testable.
So, back to the flying disc, I do not know if Searl used magnets to
increase the magnetic flux on the original disc experiment, though he
claims to have done so in later experiments. Just as you can increase
flux density by using an iron core transformer in favor of an air core
transformer, so too can you increase the accumulation of electrons that
would be thrown to the outside rim and provide the lift.
Hamel reports the same thing, a spinning mass that accumulates electrons
but in his case from air flow through the center of the unit, where
ambient electrons are entrained and captured to accumulate on the
outside spinning metal. The blue to pink color shift also was reported
in his pictures as the device shot off into space, exactly like Searl's
reports.
So, to my way of thinking, with Searl we have two primary considerations
to focus on;
1) most important, what is the phenomenon of rotation and high
voltage that reaches a level to repel from the earth?
2) what are the actual construction details to make magnets
that have an enhanced spin effect so that they run themselves?
(it was reported Searl had a portable track with two of these
special magnets, he would place them on the track and they
would rotate around it on their own power, this was a
demonstration used to convince investors of the self-powering
effect)
In my personal investigations, I am struck by a repeating observation
that I recount yet again. There is a peculiar phenonmeon which
transcends yet incorporates many seemingly disparate reports of not only
antigravity but also energy production.
My view of it is of an X where the center of the X is the 'bloch wall'
or the center of gravity or Keelys 'neutral centre'. This is all based
on Keely's Push, Balance and Pull. The top half is Push, the middle of
the X is the Balance between the push and pull and the bottom is the
Pull.
The top half of the X requires energy to Push, accelerate or stimulate
the test mass.
As it approaches the center of the X in speed or vibration, it soon
reaches a 'critical density', possibly centered within a thin band much
like spillover on a bell curve.
Once you get within this Balance region, the energy required to keep the
mass excited or spinning begins to decrease and at resonance, at the
middle of the X, it takes almost NO energy to keep it stimulated.
NOW, if you keep adding energy to push or excite mass BEYOND this
neutral center resonance, the test mass will begin to produce energy as
it accelerates on its own, having achieved the Pull region.
It is within this Pull region that it must be governed to prevent the
destruction of the mass or its taking off into space because it is no
longer connected to the gravity flows associated with the earth.
Within this simple X observation is what I've long considered a major
key to the production of phenomena ranging from gravity control to
energy production, indeed to optimizing health, but that's another
story.
