acupuncture point devices.

I have been watching this thread for awhile and now need to do a couple
of pennies worth. Acupuncture, specifically microsystems [ear,
hand, etc] are my biz. I also design and make ear tools for
prfessionals. I sell a couple of devices, but that is not my main
focus.
There are basically 2 types of finders [treatment types later] the
chinese and french. every one out there regaldless of name is a
variation of these. they are, with varying degrees of sophistication
ohmeters. they measure resistance on a point. HOW they do that is the
difference.
the chinese [developed in china late 50-60's] is the most seen, and is
the types discussed on this list. the acuhealth sold all over the world
is a great example. it has one small electrode that you touch to the
skin, and a metal plate on the device to complete the circuit. these
things can be extremely crude, or more upscale with a "squelch knob" to
set base resistance, because evrybody and body part is different. think
of these as circumcised units.
the uncircumcised or french [deveolped in Lyon in the 50's] has a rod
inside of a insulated tube, both on a spring, and measures extremely
fine areas [= and - close together] instead of the whole body area like
the chinese. there is a handhold for the patint, but this is a BIAS to
set the machine to zero, because this machine measures both + and-
points wheras the french has only one polarity. this is much more
therapeutic as the chinese do not measure the chronic focus of disease
and therfore do not have as good as success.
the other differences are that the frnch machine has 8 frequencies that
have to do with tissue types [nerves, muscle, brain, etc] because each
cell type has a firing frequency. the chinese either has a fixed factory
freq or a potentiometer that has a poor readout.
the chinese machines are very inexpensive, the french expensive.
I use both daily. one is fast and easy, the other much more effective
but slower. chinese machines can hurt during treatment phase, but I use
needles, gold/silver or lasers so I dont use that phase of the chinese.
when i have a frail, sensitive person or a child, i always use the
french.
A lot of times failure comes from the machine hurting you, not being
appropriate or not being trained. it takes a lot more than an ear
chart-most of them are 20-30 years old -kind of like using a TI-44 to
run Windows.
I get immediate results especially with pain and joint problems, even
using the cheap stuff. It does not last as long, but it will work.
I have run into and keep running into variations of these machines,
there are many on the market under many names. some work better than
others, and you can spend alot of money on crap. the big thing is
training to use this--that makes the difference.
