Actually, the described situation sounds more like one of those 'psychic
healing' sessions where the 'healer' pretends to shove his hand into a
'wound' he opens, pulls up some strips of bloody bacon he had hidden in
his other hand - and then disposes of the evidence (you dont get to see
the masses he 'pulls from your body') and wipes off the stage blood,
leaving 'no wound'. The previous situation sounds like a variation on the
theme. Had said fakirs (fakers? Heh) allowed the audience to examine the
flesh and blood that was 'removed', then perhaps this would be more
credible.
