Err... are we talking about a computerized representation of the
interference patterns on a chladni waveplate? (Chladni's the guy who made
those sand-based waveplates, right?)

Even if you're a poor programmer, it wouldn't be a big deal -- speaking
from a programmer's perspective. The most difficult part (at least, from
my point of view) would be the creation of the interference pattern
itself. I'm still a little confused on exactly what you're trying to do --
are you looking for a program that will simply sum the various frequencies
you give it and display the resulting interference pattern? If so, then
that'd be fairly easy to code. :)
