Jerry:

This is in response to the posting from Chris regarding heating the =
fuel.

a few years ago I was involved with an inventor who developed a "fuel =
warming device", which was made by creating a stainless steel tubing =
coil inside a small sealed cannister. The fuel (gas or diesel) went =
through the ss tubing coil, inside the warm water-filled jacket =
cannister. The howt water from the engine cooling system went through =
the water jacket cannister. This heated the fuel up when the engine was =
warm. The inventor got a patent on it, but I am not certain what it is.

This method worked (sort of) to a greater or lesser degree. I am told =
it actually reduced emissions and increased power and produced a small =
mileage increase as a result. At this time I cannot say if anyone is =
still selling them. I can say the idea seems good, but in actual =
practice the benefits were questionable.
