Hi Folks!

While looking for a .gif of a pump, I found this incredible
page on nothing but all the types of pumps.

The pump serves as a means of feeding an energy storage
system, whether as fluid in a gravity fed reservoir or
compressed gases, or as electrons in a capacitor or battery.

This remarkable page is called the Internet Glossary of
Pumps, it is really interesting if you are curious about
such matters;

The home page is;

Teslas disc pump;

The ram pump which looks suspiciously like the 6,000 pound
iron sphere that Keely was supposed to have used to store
his 'etheric plasma';

and a 'rag pump' which is said to have been in use for over
400 years...it is interesting because of some experimenters
in the 1940s who found that a rope could be made to carry
very high volumes of water when looped in such a fashion as
described, amazing;

and a lot of other intriguing designs.
