Prey tell me why the floating stones here and there over the world remain
in place?
This should be impossible.
The atmosphere rotates faster than the earth and after all is the generator
of our rotation speed under the effect of the suns radiation. Those stones
should be pushed away. They don't and can be moved by hand but remain where
they are. Usually venerated as holy objects not to be disturbed.
I believe there are some on Stuart island which do shift so now and then
and when removed will seek their original orientation at the first
opportunity.
