John,

It's not an argument, its a matter of credibility and CONFIDENCE in what
people say KNOWING that it is knowledge that has been determined and
agreed upon by many others as proven by the URLs or definitions.

I have always detested it when people set themselves up as some kind of
guru or possessing hidden information which can only be gleaned by
following or sucking up, the net is replete with such characters,
usually hawaking their products or insights...it is a cultish mentality
and the ones who are countenanced, usually shrink away while screaming
suppression or other such insanities. I have no time or patience with
such people.

This website has always been completely open with anything we had that
might be of use freely posted and the intent from inception was to
attract LIKE MINDED AND ACTING PEOPLE.

On the BBS I had levels assigned by degree of participation and
cooperation to help others or offering useful information, insight or
suggestions, but its difficult to do on the net to filter out those who
had their own motives or agendas, thus this discussion list.

On the BBS people often removed excerpts from relevant material to
backup or enhance their points...on the net, that can still be done,
though often URLs provide that backup.

So when someone quotes opinion thats fine, but when someone quotes what
they claim is fact....and it is contentitious or a questionable
statement, be prepared to prove it.

If there are no other posted details that backup this socalled fact,
then provide an experiment where others can prove it, otherwise, express
it as OPINION, NOT FACT....
