Greetings,

Several months ago, a Flanagan Neurophone, the Thinkman, was purchased =
from the distributor in Flagstaff. For my setup, a portable =
AM/FM/SW/Tape was used as the sound source which was input into the =
Neurophone, and the standard headset supplied with the Neurophone used =
as the output.=20

Initially, the headphones were placed at several places to determine the =
optimum location. When initially turned on, sound was detected coming =
from the headset without being in contact with the skin. That it was =
being detected by the ears was verified by plugging my ears, in which =
the sound ceased. Several locations away from the head were tried (legs =
and arms), with the only sound being heard being that through the air.

Next, the headset was placed over the temples. In this location, sound =
was clearly heard from what seems to be midway between the temples. The =
ears were then plugged, which resulted in no diminishing of the volume =
of the sound. This clearly indicated that the sound was no longer =
dependent upon air for transmission.

For the first month, one hour a day was spent listening to a variety of =
music through the Neurophone. Dreams are my gateway into the world of =
spirit, and during this time, no difference was detected in either the =
frequency, duration or content of the dreams. Since then, I have cut =
down on listening to the radio and tapes, and have not used the =
Neurophone as much as I would like to.

It is my intention to contact several deaf persons here in Albuquerque =
and determine what type of influence it has on them.=20

Keely made reference in several of his writings that the convolutions of =
the mind are sensitive to external vibrations, and can be =
sympathetically brought into attunement with the proper source. This =
Neurophone definitely provides an alternate means to provide a source of =
excitation vibrations into these regions of the mind, and I would =
suspect that over a longer period of use, there will be a sympathetic =
attunement of various regions. Ravi Shankar, with his masterful music of =
the sitar, provides for the most relaxing sound to date.=20

Any other experiences, with what type of music they are using, would be =
appreciated.

Best Regards,

Jon Jacob
