Hmm...I remember either having a copy of the patent number or having
seen it....of course it isn't on womplex or uspto.gov since it would
have been in the 50's or 60's...and I wouldn't swear it was specifically
for a 'cannon'...there was Popular Science or Popular Mechanics in the
60's which had on the front cover a picture of a device mounted in a
trailer...it had a central cavity where the sound was produced and there
were numerous tubes all facing in one direction...think of a Kleig light
with the end of hoses making up the face of it....the claim was it was
directional with these hoses...it was so many years ago and I don't have
the magazine, but I remember the picture clearly...
I remember writing off to the French patent office and got a letter back
in French of course that had a number on it, but I was just a kid and
couldn't read it or figure out how to convert/send to Francs...but there
was a patent by Gavreau on infrasound....I'll keep looking...seeya!
