Hi Martin et all!
There is a section at the end of David Hamel's book, The Granite Man And
The Butterfly about Wilbur Smith and his experiments. If you are
interested I recommend you get the book as it's a very interesting read
(for both topics). Basically Wilbur experimented with caduceus coils. I
think if I remember right that the wires intersected (crossed over) at
45 degree angles, which I think is different from some other designs of
caduceus coils.
