Hi all,

Just a note on the possible use of harvested grass clippings. A few years=
back
a magazine called the Mother Earth News did a bit of experimenting with
various biomass generation schemes - most notably and successfully with
generating methane gas from a simple digester. It would seem that grass
clippings would be very easily utilized in this manner.

Several years ago, a Proctor and Gamble paper plant near where I live dec=
ided
they had paid enough ridiculous electric bills and tapped into their own =
waste
dumps for methane gas, using it to drive a large turbine generator. They=
have
been using this setup for at least five years with a considerable savings=
in
their utility bills. I do wish some one would start making and marketing=
a
small digester (home scale) that could be used for heating, generating po=
wer,
etc.
