Hi Folks!

I know this is PURE coincidence but I thought some of you might like to
know about it and possibly experience it. Here's the story: a friend
sent me one of those chain emails which said it wasn't a solicitation
for anything.

It said to make a wish and think about it as long as it took to scroll
line by line down through the entire email and you would get the wish in
as many minutes as you were old (something to that effect). It then
said to send it to 5 friends which I did not.

Well, I blew it off as nothing but happened to think of something that I
wanted as opposed to something I needed, in this case a reliable vehicle
as mine is acting up and the mechanics can't seem to resolve it.

Ok, I had need to look for some papers 10 hours later and in a blank
white envelope were two checks from my bank from a credit card
consolidation loan back in October. Those were a complete surprise to
me and included enough to buy a used vehicle.

Now, in NO WAY do I think this was FACTUALLY related to the appearance
and 10 hour result of this wishmail....for that to remotely be rational,
it would have to be a lottery win or some other source of income
completely out of my control.

This source was within my control and turned out to be something I had
neglected to complete at the time (October 1998).

My best excuse for such a glaring error is that I was under a lot of job
related stress....and that was very true at that time period.

So, I don't want to spam the list with such a file as the wishmail but I
do plan to send it out to some friends and ask they report back if any
weirdness results within a short time of its receipt.

If anyone here wants a copy, I'll be glad to forward it to you and see
if anything of use happens.

One final comment, in my mind, feeble as it is, at the time of reading
this weird email, I pondered what do I WANT as opposed to what do I
NEED. What I want is beyond all sense of my current reality..<g>...so I
reverted to what I needed most. And that's what I got....though I would
have found it eventually anyway....so, send me a private email to

jdecker@keelynet.com

if you'd like me to forward you a copy of the wishmail...it would be an
interesting test to see how many get it and how many get something out
of it....seeya!
