Yes, I you are right.
If a dowsinger walks over a subterranean water stream or a river the dowsing
rod always bends downstream. The dowsingrods are bending until they are
parallel with the stream.
If you walk with dowsing rods downstreams on a river you can exactly see the
way of the stream.

Yes, I think that's correct.
The faster the stream the dowsing rod bend angle becomes greater.
For example :
Stream : 5 litre/min. --> angle : 40 degrees
Stream : 10 litre/min. --> angle : 60 degrees
