Here is some of the buzz about the French aircar by
Guy Negre;
http://www.necnp.org/aircar.htm
May issue of Wired, p. 76, has a piece by Heather
McCabe on the car that says;
40,000 taxis will be bought by the Mexican govt to use
as taxis.
3 prototypes -- are taxis, vans, and pickups.
Expected to be released in 2000 at an average cost of
$13,000. The photo used appears to be the same car as
the photo you posted.
Less technical data: 2 cylinder engine, uses heated
outside air & supercompressed air from tanks under the
car.
Can fill up in less than 3 minutes at a gas station
air pump, a tankful lasts 120 miles.
