Thanks for posting those comments about your direct experience with
radio tube circuits. I have to agree, we are missing something if there
is all that bangup destruction from line power combined with RF. In
electronics school, Star Trek would invariably come up as to the
exploding panels and such...every teacher there laughed and said
electronics just doesn't deal with such power levels, rather the
controls would be in the panels and the real power would be at th drive
or weapons sections. All for theatrics and it works, just like the
sounds in space...<g>...
Anyway, I love anecdotes like you posted and the tieins....really makes
such comments worth printing out and thinking about for further
questions...THANKS!
